I've already got my seats but I have to ask a question. Bill says this type seat was used in the surrey and 'some' dj models. What types of seat would be in the other dj's? |

There are some that used the 3A style single seats... The Surrey used this sort of seat but there are brackets that are used instead of the rail that attached to the door area on the Cj5. If you search the older posts we have discussed this particular style of seat and what is needed to use it ...I looked for it and found it but the most important stuff, the pictures, was all gone. Thanks again, Webshots. I will have to put that on my new years resolution, to replace all those old Webshots pics that got lost when they upgraded to a useless site and dumped everyone's pics. Charles, what do you have for seats? |

I've read all the threads and yes, the missing pictures are disappointing. My seats came from my trip to Florida. One of the frames back has been broken and repaired (badly) sometimes in its life but all in all they're in very decent shape and maybe above average all things considering . Note ones back is taller than the other. It's because a section of the pipe frame on both sides of the short one has been cut away and repaired. The bad welding back there makes this obvious but compared to some of the stuff I've done it will be an easy fix. Luckily the swivel bracket and it's rivits weren't damaged when doing the chop job of fixing it. Also at some point they have been recovered I'm pretty sure. Both of them fold down if needed. |
