It took me quite a few years to figure this one out. When I finally got desperate and went asking on the CJ3B section I was able to get some serious and accurate help.
And then OLDTIME pointed me to this very accurate and reasonably priced reproduction ![]() And then even more positive confirmation from Mr. Bill Norris
Which settles the question for me once and for all about what kind of Jack would have been available and correct. One thing I'm not so sure about is the tire tool in the following picture. It's pretty rusty but I found it hiding out in my 63dj. Nothing verified about the tire tool yet, just speculation, but it does look like it would serve a dual purpose of both removing a hubcap and working the Jack. ![]() Either that, or it's a ground down old crowbar or tire tool, or something!!!??? ![]() Charles |

Hi Charles, I had always thought it was the rectangular base for the WW jeeps and square for the early Cjs and later jeeps. That was a nice clarification. |
