Dear Friends, I was wondering what would be the correct type of parking lights on a 1964 Dj3a? Would they be the amber colored ones or the glass ones? Could the experts throw some light on the same. Thanks again. Dinesh. |

There's two different type of parking lens used on DJ's between the early and late ones. Recently a group of us got together with Dave at Ewillys to figure out exactly what the changes were and when they went into effect in both the parking light lens and bezels and the headlight lens and bezels. __________________________________________________ PARKING LIGHTS AND LENSE CHANGES: From 1956 to 1959 56337-14103 the DJ-3A used the same parking lights and bezels as used on CJ-3B 1953-1956, CJ-5/6 1955-1956, Trucks 1953-1956, and Wagons 1953-1956. – (BLACK ENAMEL) WO 910199 (1956 ONLY) 2 3/4″ diameter – (STAINLESS STEEL) WO 119204 2 3/4″ diameter – Lens WO 119206 ============ From 1959 56337-14103 to 1964 the DJ-3A used the same parking lights as the post 1956 CJ-5/6s (til ’63), Trucks, Wagons, and FCs, For Lamp Code (KADH) – (Bezel) WO 718140 6 or 12V 2 1/4″ diamater – Lens WO 718138 6 or 12V 2 1/4″ diameter ============ Off the top of my head I'm pretty sure that's information that Bruce provided. For me all the pictures don't seem to be showing up on the link but if necessary I can re-take them (I think I recently deleated them) and post them here. http://www.ewillys.com/2015/10/02/puzzling...h-dj-3a-bezels/ The lens were all clear in both styles of parking lights. |

So do you suggest that the Amber colored lens are after market replacements Charles? I have seen few dj3as example: the one with the auto trans. and other few in India including mine have the Amber lens. |

Interesting! I think I remember you once telling me that the India DJ's speedometers were calibrated in Km/h instead on MPH like here in the states. If you know of other examples of DJ's in India that have Amber colored parking lens and if they compare and look like yours then I have to consider that there's a distinct possibility that those Amber lens might very well be original to the India exports.
