Hello friends,
Could somebody help with a picture and if possible, design and details of the tool pouch meant to be mounted behind the passenger seat on the dj3a?
Very interesting to find this part being listed on the parts list as per the dispatcher page on the 3b forum.
Regards and best wishes.

I've seen several different versions of seat pockets/bags attached to the back of both drivers and passengers seats. I've also seen pouches produced by jeep owners for storage in the tool box under the passenger seat.

Which are you referring?

Hello Rus curtis,
Even I do not know what would it look like.
I gathered that information on the pouch from the write-up on the dispatcher jeeps on the cj3b page.

The mention is just under the windshield description.
Hope to hear more from the experts here.
Thanks.

Don,
That's one of the styles I've noticed. This example is from WeeBee Webbing. I've seen a few others that also use the "common sense" fasteners as well as some more modern versions using Velcro or zippers that are designed for later CJs and wranglers.

Here's another example of "repurposing" a surplus bag:
CJ2A Seat Bag

I was hoping to see what design the bag listed in the article, that Dinesh linked us to, may have. It would be nice to learn the part number and if it is an exclusive DJ accessory or if there were other applications. Surely someone has more information.

I think having some kind of storage on the seat backs would be helpful.

Good to learn and document on the forum.
Thanks.

As far as I know, and I have seven DJ3A's from 1956 to 1964, none of them have the tool box under the passenger seat as the CJ's do. I have never seen this tool pouch referred to here, but with the Part Number shown, there must have been one. I'm betting some of our folks can get in here and show us what we need.

Hi Glen,
I assumed the same as you did. It would be nice to see that pouch and it's design to have those on our DJs.
