Recently DJ3A serial number 56337 10030, the 30'th DJ3A ever produced appeared as a almost original barn find. The owner told me herself that when her father bought the jeep used 23 years ago that he stored it in his barn and never took it out again during his lifetime.

I am now going to restore the pictures that she gave me permission to use on this thread.

first a few notes that I had taken

Dusty and dirty and barn fresh 1956 DJ3A Dispatcher #30. Noting the double turn fasteners on the windshield frame as were used on the retractable soft top for this convertible model.

Early type grill, headlight buckets and bezel and early type parking lights and bezel

This 1956 DJ3A Dispatcher has a aftermarket windshield washer

outfitted with a period Sears hardtop but still has all of the convertible hardware in place

And here it is. Out of the barn, loaded up, and headed for its new home.

Keep in mind that even though that this dispatcher was stored in one place for a so many years that still doesn't mean that everything on it is 100% original. That being said it's still the best completely unrestored example that's ever been found to date of any 1956 Willys DJ3A Dispatcher.

There are literally a ton of rare parts on this jeep.

Some day it is my extreme hope to find and document a example like this that still has the folding top in place.
