The study utilized a Adidas Homme Chaussures Pas Cher fairly simple methodology. Twelve runners ran both overground and on a treadmill in shoes with the Boost midsole and in identical shoes with a sole composed of more traditional EVA foam. While running, their oxygen consumption was monitored as a measure of running economy (increased oxygen consumption at a given pace=lower economy). Results indicated that in both treadmill and overground running the subjects were slightly more economical in the shoes with the Boost midsole (differences were statistically significant). Here are the numbers:Though the differences were significant, the actual differences were quite small between the shoes on both running surfaces. Thus, BOOST improved economy by about 1%. ¡°Kenyan runners race in low-support shoes, but they mostly train in big, chunky, cushioned sneakers, just like your average, plodding Western jogger. Oddly, though, and contrary to Lee¡¯s (Saxby) theories, these big shoes don¡¯t force the Kenyans to run heel first. They virtually all run in a lovely, smooth forefoot-first style ¨C what Lee would term ¡°barefoot style.¡± The shoes, it seems, make no difference. The Adios Boost had a perfect combo of a soft heel and a firm, responsive forefoot. It ran incredibly smooth, and the fit was dialed in on my feet. Pretty much a perfect shoe for my taste, an Adidas Originals Hommes Clearance d the 10mm drop did not bother me at all (probably due to the soft heel and the fact that the relatively thin forefoot provides good ground feel; or maybe just that since dialing in my form by going more minimal I now feel I can run in just about anything). 3. inov-8 Race Ultra 270, Available Now ¨C I was pleased with the Race Ultra 290 when I tried them last fall, and was therefore very much looking forward to the lighter and lower drop (4mm) RU270. I bought a pair and I¡¯ve already raced 50k in them and am pretty impressed overall. A very versatile shoe with more road shoe-like geometry than the Trailroc 245, but with nearly all of the latter¡¯s positive qualities retained with a touch more cushion at a very similar weight. Quite the feat I think and one that, especially if the Terraclaws mentioned above turn out good, will make the loss of the Trailroc much easier to bear. The Race Ultra 270 covers hardpack terrain (and even road) much better than the Trailroc and yet still handles technical trail quite well. If you liked the Trailroc 245, be sure to check this one out. Full review coming soon. According to Running Warehouse, the Motion is a 7.5oz, 8mm drop shoe (stack height = 23mm heel, 15mm forefoot) targeted as a first step toward less shoe:adidas MotionRunning Warehouse lists the the adidas Gazelle as a 6.0oz, 6mm drop shoe (stack height = 17mm heel, 11mm forefoot) that would seem to fit squarely in the transitional category:adidas GazelleRunning Warehouse lists the adidas adipure Adapt as a 4.8oz, 4mm drop shoe (stack height = 15mm heel, 11mm forefoot) ¨C this is the most minimal of the three shoes: Raven 3 on foot. Fit is much lower volume and I did remove the speed laces after they performed poorly at holding m Acheter Adidas ZX 750 Femme y foot in place on steep downhills. Fit is similar to Nike Kiger 2 in many ways, with lower volume toebox and fit, but comfortable overall and slightly wider than Riot 6 to me.Uppers and FitBoth shoes are, as far as I know, designed on the same last that is used in adidas¡¯ Supernova Glide and Sequence road shoes. The fit is medium in the heel, fairly snug in the midfoot, and while medium width in forefoot compared to most shoes on the market, they are wider than adidas¡¯ adizero roa Adidas ZX 850 Femme France Soldes d lineup that more runners are familiar with (think adios boost). |
