1. Comfort. Perhaps the main reason why I like Nike Air Max 90 Womens both versions of the Free 3.0 so much is that they are ridiculously comfortable ¨C they feel akin to wearing slippers on your feet when you run. The upper has very little structure to it ¨C in the original Free 3.0 it¡¯s basically a thin layer of fabric, whereas in the second generation Free 3.0 some cushioning has been added to the ankle cuff (see comparison picture below). As I mentioned above, one of the main reasons I bought a second pair of black Free 3.0 v2¡¯s is so that I could use them as a work shoe ¨C it¡¯s awesome to be able to spend a day with these on your feet as opposed to a pair of heavy, stiff leather work shoes.Nike Free 3.0 1st and 2nd GenerationNike Free 3.0 ¨C 1st generation (top) and 2nd generation (bottom). Note the greater cushioning around the heel cuff in the lower shoe.

A quick comment on durability. After about 30 miles of running and extensive casual wear the soles of the Free 5.0 look pretty good. The only exception is that one of the black outsole patches near the heel has worn down on one side to reveal a different colored rubber below (I¡¯m a bit of a scuffer). I don¡¯t expect this will be a problem from a functional standpoint, but you may not get hundreds of miles out of a shoe like this that has such a small amount of rubber o Nike Air Max 2015 Cheap Sale n the sole.

What I love about the upper of the Wildhorse is its simplicity. Unlike many trail shoes, the upper is fairly minimally structured. There is minimal stitching, the overlays are welded on, and the heel counter is thin and soft. It feels almost like a Nike Free style upper on a trail shoe. The mesh over the forefoot is tightly woven yet breathable, and it¡¯s warm enough that it has worked well on many sub-freezing winter runs. I have seen a bit of pilling of the upper mesh near the medial forefoot overlay, but no real fraying or tearing at this point. It is something I¡¯ll keep an eye on though.

The Nike Wildhorse 2 is a 4mm drop trail shoe (22mm heel, 18mm forefoot) that weighs in at 9.3 oz in men¡¯s size 9 (specs via Running Warehouse). I presume that the 10-14 printed on the medial sole near the heel refers to midsole heights and does not include the insole or outsole. I purchased a size 10.5, which is a half size up from my normal (but seems to be becoming my new normal!).

I haven¡¯t followed Nike¡¯s offerings for that long. In fact, the only Nike shoe I¡¯ve spent time running in prior to this year was the Nike Zoom Streak XC 3 (now sold, with an updated upper design, as the Zoom Streak LT 2). This year I¡¯ve run in three Nike shoes: Terra Kiger v1, Kiger v2 and the Zoom Elite 7. Just like I was pleasantly surprised with the Kiger, and quite impressed with the Kiger 2, I was also somewhat impressed with the Elite 7 when trying it on. I had tried on the Pegasus 31 not long before, and while the Elite 7 has some similarities to the Peg 31 (even beyond its looks), I found the fit and feel of the Elite to be a little more to my liking. The main differences are a lower drop at 8mm compared to the 10mm of the Peg, firmer midsole, forefoot zoom unit (Peg 31 only has one in the heel) and slightly lower stack heights.I¡¯ve now run well over 75 miles in the Zoom Elite 7, about 50% on road and 50% on mostly hardpack, non-technical trail. Below are my thoughts at this point.

RESULTS: Shoe-time interactions were not found for any of the variables of interest. Minimalist shoe running resulted in no changes i Nike Air Max 2015 Men's UK Outlet n step length (P = 0.967) or in step rate (P = 0.230). At footstrike, greater knee flexion (P = 0.001) and greater dorsiflexion angle (P = 0.025) were noted in the minimalist shoe. Vertical impact peak (P = 0.017) and average vertical loading rate (P < 0.000) were greater during minimalist shoe running. There were main effects of time as dorsiflexion angle decreased (P = 0.035), foot inclination at footstrike decreased (P = 0.048), and knee flexion at footstrike increased (P = 0.002), yet the vertical impact peak (P Nike Air Max 2015 Men's Leather = 0.002) and average vertical loading rate (P < 0.000) increased.
