If you run mostly in minimal Nike Air Max 90 Hyperfuse shoes, try the Kiger 2. You will enjoy the extra cushion and responsiveness of the midsole while still feeling right at home with the fit and flat feeling of the sole. If you run in more substantial footwear, I¡¯d also recommend the Kiger 2 as it will feel light and nimble yet not leave you hanging in any area. There is enough stack height and protection that it feels substantial, yet still fast. A very impressive achievement for a shoe a shoe in the low 8 oz range. Highly recommended! Given the above features, I view the Nike Free 3.0 as a great choice as a transitional shoe if you¡¯re thinking about working your way down to running barefoot or in an extremely minimalist shoe like the Vibram Fivefingers. Some disagree with this approach, saying that going barefoot from the start is the best approach so that immediate sensory feedback from your feet can prevent you from doing too much, too soon, but the transitional approach worked well for me, and I have managed to avoid any serious injuries so far while running in Vibrams over the past 8-10 months (I should point out that although I¡¯ve tried barefoot running, I¡¯m not a barefoot runner). The important thing to remember with any new shoe, and with minimalist shoes in particular, is to not overdo it ¨C give your feet and legs time to adjust to these shoes, and resist the urge to do too much Nike Air Max 95 Pas Cher , too soon. As for sizing, the shoe runs true to size for me, and the fit is nearly perfect. The forefoot is plenty roomy for my medium width foot, and the heel through arch fit is nice and snug. There is a bit of arch support, which will likely turn off those more interested in truly minimalist shoes, though it is slightly less pronounced if you remove the insoles. Nike Free Run+ Review One oddity about this shoe is that it has a curved last and an offset lacing system, which makes it look like the shoe bends medially when viewed from above (see photo to the left). My sense is that this is more a function of the lacing system altering appearance than anything structural, but it makes for a bit of an odd look from above.Although not an appearance element, it¡¯s worth noting for those who might be interested that these shoes do accommodate a Nike+ sensor under the insole. I have long since abandoned the Nike+ system due to it¡¯s inaccuracy, so I have not used the sensor in these shoes. The Elite 7 has a very nice internal liner and I¡¯ve had no problem running sockless in them. The overlays hold the foot well, and the material seems very durable. It has a similar construction to the Kiger where it has an outer mesh (in the Elite 7¡¯s case with some thin welded overlays instead of the engineered mesh), an internal liner, and flywire sandwiched in between. The fit is probably medium width in the toebox, with the shoe running just a bit long to me (1/4 size maybe). The lacing is slightly asymmetrical, which didn¡¯t cause any problems, but I usually don¡¯t prefer it. The only slight issue I had with the fit is that I felt that the heel collar, while well padded, extended up a bit too high. This only caused a small hot spot one time (on a 2.5 hr run), but it is definitely a design flaw in my mind¡probably irrelevant if you wear socks. Overall, another example of Nike¡¯s use of quality materials and construction methods at a decent price. 4. Midfoot Fit. In contrast, to the forefoot, the midfoot of the 5.0 is roomier and more comfortable on my foot, and that might in part be due to the fact that it has a more traditional tongue instead of the bootie-style design of the 3.0. Nike Air Max Lunar outlet online I get a bit of pressure on the top of my foot in the 3.0 due to the integrated tongue and thus am less likely to use it as a casual shoe for long-term wear.Where all of the Nike Free models are similar is in the flexibility and feel of the sole. The Nike Free design works really well with my stride as I hate shoes that try to control my foot movement. The siping (grooves) in the sole allows my foot to contact and move into pronation very smoothly an Nike Air Max 2014 outlet online d I never feel like the shoe is controlling my movement. |
