As I always like to point out, writing a lot Nike Dunk Sky Hi Femmes of reviews means not so many miles on individual shoes, and this makes it hard to comment on durability. But, I can say that after 30 miles I see no abnormal wear on the sole. Rubber is used only sparingly at the heel, in small pods across the forefoot, and under the big toe. If you tend to eat away the lateral forefoot of shoes you may have durability issues with this one.

As for rehab, I have been working with an athletic trainer for the past year and a half on strength training and mobility work. She is a firm believer in the functional training system. I lift twice a week which always includes soft tissue work, activation and mobility exercises and core, upper and lower body strength exercises. Because this athletic trainer did notice a good deal of weakness in my hip stabilizers, glutes, hamstrings and core, I have put even more of an emphasis on strengthening these groups and increasing mobility/flexibility. I also have ART once a week.

I¡¯ll start by saying that I have mixed feelings about the Strada. I¡¯ve come to really enjoy the ride, but it still feels like a bit Posted Image more shoe than I need, particularly in the upper. This is in part due to the fact that it was designed as a training shoe for Meb Keflezighi and Kara Goucher, and both like a bit more structure in a training shoe used for long miles. But I think it¡¯s also due to the fact that the shoe needs to be differentiated a bit from the GoRun Ride, which provides a somewhat similar ride. I¡¯m also a bit disappointed in the pricing ¨C $130 is a lot for a shoe with no rubber on the sole. I like what the absence of rubber does for the feel of the ride, but I have concerns about durability at that price point (more on this below).

Anyway, I then bought a new pair of Waverider 17s and the problems immediately disappeared, no soreness whatsoever, and the residual tendinitis in the right foot waned away in a week or two.

That said, I do think that a recreational runner who is willing to spend more in one go for running shoes might be willing to spend more for other things like better coaching (or any coaching, for that matter) or nutrition. Poor use of words on my part in my previous post, though, as it seems like I¡¯m suggesting that pure socioeconomic variables can serve as protective factors¡ I guess it isn¡¯t so much a matter of a recreational runner¡¯s disposable income as it is a matter of how important running is to the recreational runner and how knowledgable the runner is about the preventative health/safe training aspect of it.

Leaving running aside, I am also interested in how you reconcile your approach with shoes to the fact that humans have been barefoot or minimally shod until new balance homme france vente only a handful of generations ago and millions of people continue to go barefoot with no adverse health problems. I understand the need to treat people that go to you for help. However, I do not see the need to put the average human in a shoe with arch support, toe spring, a stiff last, an unnaturally narrow toe box, or a raised heel in early childhood or if they do not exhibit any foot pain or problems (again, see studies referenced above). I would like to hear your rebutta roshe run chaussures homme l and, again, would not find it irritating in the least.
