I've been meaning to try that...

On another note, has anyone gotten the newest MMBN yet? I've played about a good 10 hours and so far it's just like the other 5 (8 if you count versions.) I have gotten this thing called Cross-Link or something, it's basically like Soul-Fusion, only you don't have to sacrifice a chip.

Good News: 6 is the last one in the MMBN series. The ending doesn't leave for direct sequals.

Bad News: THe guy in charge of it says they're working on something new for the series.

THe prevailing theory is the differences will be just another "regular-X" change.
After all, the X characters HAVE been appearing now.

Sounds like they're just talking about MegaMan ZX.

...or some weird Battle Network version of it, anyway.

No, thats confirmed Zero style, and in MMC-Zero (Legends presumed) continuity.

Edit: If anything, its just the MMBN version of the X series.

Anyone know how many characters one can play as in the new X-Men game, and how it works? Is it like Sonic Adventure where you choose your character and go through the game, or is it like SA2 where you go through the game playing different characters in each level?

I know you can play as Logan, Kurt, and Bobby. Each one of them should play different enough... but I can only assume there's more playable X-Men...

(I would also hazard a guess that you put Multiple Man and Juggernaut in custody at some point...)

(Q)_< I believe its choose a team, and either win or lose at certain points to go off certain tangents on a story tree, or more like a war campaign

Pure speculation, am too lazy to reaserch, have been for past 7 years

Don't worry, if the Bison ever take over the midlands Godzilla will take care of them. Just like he did with Bambi.

... That sounds like X-Men Legends. I'm talking about the new one that takes place between X-Men United and The Last Stand.

I actually enjoyed the MMBN games. #4 was eh, but the DS version of 5 is one of the better games I've played recently. But that may just be because I like the style.

So... I was sad to hear it ending. But to hear that there's a continuation of some sort fills me with happiness!

It's ending? I might get 6 then. Their's a DS version of 6 right?
Hey, the comic seems to be updating kind of regularly. Maybe we should vote to spread the word.

So far, I'm not really enjoying 6...

Spoiler warning

Ok, I liked the twist at the end of 5, but Barly being completely evil is just so lame and stupid.

"An official bridge between the events of the two films, X2: X-Men United and X3: The Last Stand, X-Men: The Official Game follows main characters Wolverine, Nightcrawler, and Iceman as they embark on a 28-mission journey to defeat Hydra, the Brotherhood, and a collection of other surprise villains. Features include character-specific level geometry and super-powers, voice-overs from select members of the motion picture cast, and an original narrative written by Chris Claremont and Zak Penn."

-IGN

So, just the three. Well, that's enough, I suppose.

From the commercials, you can play as Wolverine, Nightcrawler, and Iceman... who all seem to play wildly differently. So, in what way is it repetitive? Not doubting you, just trying to clarify what you mean.

As in, there's three different characters with three different playing styles...but for every level they have you do the same thing.

Bamf, skink, ice bridge. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Oh, well. Sands of Time was also repetitive, but I enjoyed the six hours of climbing and ABY-coimbo-ing.

Atleast it explains why Nightcrawler was MIA in X3.

Though their reason kinda pisses me off.
