http://www.whatconsole.co.uk/psone.php http://www.whatconsole.co.uk/n64.php The n64 was WAY stronger than the PS1... http://www.whatconsole.co.uk/ps2.php http://www.whatconsole.co.uk/gamecube.php The Gamecube is, in fact, graphically superior to PS2 in a majority of ways(I've seen alot of break downs before, this is a bad site, I need a better one).. Barely though. |

That's okay, game companies don't care. Who cares if they lose 1 customer if they can sell 2 million copies of "Super Football Explosion 2006 version 27! Now with improved armpit hair rendering capacity!" tomarrow? And then repackage the same game and sell it a month or two later with only the smallest tweaks? Game companies are COMPANIES, they play to the market, and they know where the money is. So what if they lose 25,000 sales here and there, when they know a steady source of millions of sales. |

The weaker console in fact has always sold the most, the only exception is SNES. |

Thats where I disagree, "casual" gaming is a fad, during the silver/gold age of comics everyone read them right? Is that how it is now. Hell what happened to Nsync or Eminem. 10 years, the gamers that companies lose now will hurt them. |

Juron: You do realize that almost all Nintendo specs are actually underestimations rights? Rogue Squadron, a launch game for the Cube, exceeded the maximum limit of polygons that Nintendo said the Cube had. Sega did have somethings better but alot of things was better with the SNES. |

The thing with specs is, it depends on what you use the power FOR. You can use it for graphics, or you can use it for level design, or a number of different things. Most games don't use the max power. If they did, the system might actually overheat. |

Near as I can tell, the SNES cheated with support chips and other graphical modes. As far as raw power it was at a disadvantage. |

Well raw specs from my limited knowledge of specs, are alot different then what can actually be used. Like the Xbox sounds so much better then the Cube when that's just raw specs, when in reality the two systems are nearly even. |

Eh, the SNES wasn't particularly powerful, just adaptable. It owes alot to mode7 and the various in-cartridge support chips that really helped push the graphics for the system. |

Well, here's a bit of it right here. I hate dry spells, especially on such highly anticipated games as this. We damn well better get some major news bombs by the time the Wii is finally released.

I fucking hate sony sometimes.... instead of abxy, nintendos meaningful names for buttons, sony gave them shapes.... I typically ignore them after I learn the basic moves and play more on instinct forgetting what button is actually what..... but in Naruto the special moves require you to hit a random button combonation that appears on the screen to get the full execution effect.... the cheap ass in game fighers you face auto get it of corse, Itr's great until that happens, then it's like, "fuck? I dead..." |

Weird. I got used to the shapes pretty easy. I actually get confused on the ABXY nowadays. |
