It's grand how these strategies require me to have a Golden Chocobo. If I wanted to spend hours upon hours breeding, I wouldn't be opposed to using KotR. Now, apparently, you need Goldy for the Mime materia, too. So. I have a new theory. Square Enix hates people. |

No they just don't want the game to be too easy, it takes the fun out of it. Just Spam hades to paralyze Ruby Weapon and the battle is easy. |

Here's what I'm thinking. I'll allow myself a blue chocobo, 'cause that's easy enough. W-Summon, Quadra Magic: Bahamut ZERO, Alexander, and Neo-Bahamut on Red. Cover, Double Cut: HP Absorb, Final Attack: Phoenix, and All: Restore on Cloud. Enemy Skill and Underwater on Cait Sith. Cloud begins with casting Regen All. Cait Sith casts Big Guard, and Red casts Quadra Bahamut ZERO. Then, Cloud Double Cuts the WEAPON, covering Red and Cait Sith, occasionally casting Cure3 All when necessary. Red summons Quadra Bahamut Zero all five times, then the other summons if necessary. Cait Sith either casts White Wind or Shadow Flare, or feeds Red ethers. This will be broken by limits. When Cloud does die, Phoenix resurrects everyone, Cait Sith casts Big Guard again, and we continue with business as usual. I think I can end this before the last Phoenix is used. EDIT: Actually, maybe I should switch Barret in for Cait Sith and have him use Mindblower when he limits. |

The point of these bosses is that they are post endgame -complaining about their level is like complaining about the level of Baal in Disgaea. If HP absorb restores cloud to full when attached to bahamut zero then you could do the mime-counter trick. W-summon B-Z and you should be good to go. At least using KotR like that works on ruby, never bothered with emerald. |

I'm not complaining about the level. I'm complaining about being told to breed a golden fucking chocobo when I've said several times that I don't want to. I intend to prove that KotR and Mime are not the only valid strategies to defeating the Emerald Weapon. I don't want the joy of knowing I've won. I want the Earth Harp so I can create the friggin' classes I want (Cloud the Paladin, Tifa the Monk, Red the Summoner/Mage, Barret the Warrior, Cid the Warrior, Yuffie the Ninja/Thief, Vincent the Ninja/Thief, and Cait Sith the Blue Mage). |

There's 4 Big Materia you can earn if you do well enough in the four encounters. One of them gives you a Materia that does nothing but give you Bahamut ZERO, but the other three give Master Materia for the three schools of magic (Summoning, Casting, and, uhh, Buffing? I haven't played FFVII in forever, I can't remember what types of magic there were), if you've maxed out every ability in that school. |

Actually, uh... If you bring Neo-Bahamut and Bahamut to the blue Crystal, you get 'Bahamut ZERO' materia. If you max out all your summon (red) materia and bring it to the red Crystal, you get the 'Master Summon' materia. Maxing out your magic (green) materia will net you the 'Master Magic' materia from the green Crystal, and maxing out your skill (yellow) materia will net you the 'Master Skill' materia from the yellow Crystal. The Master materia contain each summon, each magic, and each skill respectively. You can also get the three Master materia by bringing the Earth Harp to the Traveler in Kalm. You win this item from Emerald WEAPON. |

777 on slots beats Ruby...I know that for a fact. and there are alot of strategies for beating Ruby and Emerald it's that most of them involve breeding rare materia for stacking blues. |

Oh, if I were only lucky enough to break the Lucky Number Sevens out. But I'll ne'er see that in my lieftime-- ... Wait, you're talking about Cait Sith's limit getting 777, not the 7777 HP trick. I suppose I could save and keep playing Cait Sith until I hit that 777 jackpot. |

If your not going to be using Mime/KotR your in for a long tedius fight. Pick a party with multiple hitting limits and level to 99. Mime+KotR strategies are popular in part because you can walk away from the game for half an hour and return to a defeated boss. |

I think the main point of it was that the bosses take forever to kill, and doing it manually takes a lot longer than that half hour. I can sympathize. Freaking Freya... |

Well, Emerald DOES have 1,000,000 HP. Whittling that down will take some doing. I just am trying to avoid the grueling hours racing chocobos, and performing the selective breeding necessary to create the golden chocobo. |

8 KotR + 9 BZ + Cloud LB + Barret LB. Thats basically what it took me to kill Emerald when I did it. A little more thats most of it. |

I liked breeding chocobos. The idea that there was a giant meteor hanging above the map with the main villain poised to destrory the world, and the most important thing Cloud and Co could think of was animal husbandry mad me smile. |

There used to be an image here telling you to vote, but then Photobucket, the image site made to allow you to do third party hosting, no longer allows third party hosting without throwing a shitload of money at them... and I can barely afford to eat. So no you get some text of me bitching about it, yaaay! Also, go vote. Everyday I'm tumbl'n. "This bitch is makin' me all Paru..." ~Hang in There, Kogasa-san! | |
