I'm playing FF7 dirge of Cerebus... Vinny was my fav char in FF7, he spoke the least and yet still had the best defined character in that game...

Also Reeves is fuckig insane... I do find it odd that when he controld his hat, he magically gets an od british accent

The world is interesting, although you seem to start out in some of the lesser known cities of FF7I want a Cosmo canyon, or a Rocket Town... or Niblhelm(sp) or even Midgar... Stage one was Kalm, 2 was Edge.... I don't play these games for obscurity...

It's a decent shooter though....

Seriously FZ, why do I want to download that? What's it about? C'mon, sell it to me, man!

Hmm, what, the Dark Crusade Demo?

It's the continuation of the Warhammer 40K Dawn of War games. There's more impact if you've played them, but even if you haven't and you enjoy a good RTS, you'd enjoy this. It's lets you play the Tau, one of two new factions, in one skirmish and one campaign mission against the Space Marines. The skirmish is fun because it really lets you test and see the strengths and weaknesses of the Tau (Damn their lack of turrets to hell, but their range and damage on Fire Warriors is stunning. I just wish the Crisis Suits were better, that really, really dissapoints me), and the Campaign is fun because, while the SMs have been nerfed, you get to see how a Campaign style mission works, with the leader of the SMs calling down attacks and unleashing traps verbally, and with the occasional smack talk between your leader and his. Even though it's short, it's a lot of fun.

The only thing that pisses me off is you can't adjust the Skirmish variables, so he keeps getting a Take and Hold Vidtory while I'm still mobilising.

...oh.

...You know what we need?

A modern remake of Zero Wing. It can be serious and try and be what the creators origionally intended, AND it can have a B-side just like Tenchu.
Dr. Wiley has surrendered. Mega Man has saved the planet from destruction. But will it last!!!

"Think about it, mate: legends! When has a legend ever not been true, huh? HUH?!"

--Marine, Sonic Rush Adventure

"Good Morniii--AGH! I can't do it! I don't wanna be cute! I wanna be a boy!"

--Ouran High School Host Club; Haruhi's English Voice Actor messing around.

Okay, so I just looked through the last half-dozen pages of this topic and saw no sign of this game, which is a goddamn shame.

Something this rediculous, should it never make it over the pond, may make me take leave of my senses and try importing.

Edit: And after some research, it's no wonder why. The games over a year and a half old and for the original X-Box.
Curse my lack of foresight.

Seen it. FZ linked a vid of that once, I think.

I gots a gaming question for you guys! I want to buy both the Kindom Hearts sequals. Well, maybe.

The question is, should I bother with Chain of Memories? Are the story and gameplay good enough to warrent at least a playthough and would help understand KH2? I am a bit cautious since it sounds like the combat system may be akwardly different.
When I'm bored, I like to wander around and cast X-Zone on random things.

The card system is somewhat superfluous, but its still a decent 1 player beat'em'up.

edit: I would say the battle system couldn't stand on its own merits, but if all you want the game for is the story, it should be good enough to at least keep you entertained.

Ah I see...

Ah well, another question! What was the name of that downloadable presudo D&D game where you make a character and leave it running to see how well your character does? I had it on my computer somewhere, I just can't remember where.

I mentioned that in my MMO thread...

Yeah I never actually downloaded that, I just read about it and saw some pics.

I do remember that it was free to install. It had an array of races and classes your character could be and then the game would take your charater around and level it up, buying and getting better stuff along the way.

I got it off of a PC Gamer Demo Disc. I can't remember the name, but I know what you're talking about. You basically make a name, class, and race (All ridiculous choices), and then start it and let it run in the background. Basically you just leave it going, random creature names pop up and die and give you loot, your guy automatically gets items and gains levels to get better, and the game keeps on truckin'. I left it running for about a day, got bored of it and uninstalled it.

I remember someone posted a snapshot of their desktop with a ton of charactors running at the same time, around then is when I got it myself to try. I just started wanting to do it again, however I can't find it.
