Dammit, now I'm all obsessed over coding the different status effects. Currently, confusion, poison, regen, sleep, stat modifiers(alongside the ability to reset those modifiers after a time, or continually increase/decrease them as time goes on) are all programmed in. Next up are "Distraction", "Concentrate",, "Disease" and "Aura". Which, respectively:- Decrease MP each turn Increase MP each turn Decrease both HP and MP each turn Increase both HP and MP each turn (rare as all hell and has low chance of success) 'Kay, that's all I can think of right now. More to come later, then I can actually work on the damn dungeon. |

I find flexibility in programming is a damn good thing. The more flexible the code, the more can be done with it without having to perform massive re-writes. I'm also including counter attacks, hidden strikes, and charging strikes. The last two take up your entire turn, and then you hit the opponent. The hidden strike renders the character un-hittable until the attack occurs. Much like a dragoons jump. |

Got a phone call from Game saying they had some in about an hour after posting nowhere had Lego Star Wars 2, then forgot to post about it until now. It starts pretty boring to be honest, but it certainly picks up. Oh, and I hate the hub. But the cut scenes are pretty good, and it's fun once you get past the first few levels. Because there's actually levels that don't have Jedi now, they gave blaster users hand to hand combat. Oh, and everybody can fight other than droids. No more non-combatants. And you can build stuff even if you're not a Force user. And of course, building your own character is pretty fun. |

Mmm-hmm. Counter attacks are fun. The only thing I'm really missing now is the ability for equipment to auto-add status effects at the beginning of battle. But it's not necessary and can be lived without. Oh, and any new status effects that have yet to be thought up. |

If you want comedy you could always have Drunk-combonation of beserk, slow, and blind Hangover-randomly cannot attack due to pain MOODSWING-character randomly goes into beserk with high attack(as in a good thing) and er..."aroused"-character is generally useless until effect wears off, not charmed, just...meh |

Actually, some of those are very usable. The effects already have a slightly random element to them, which plays off the characters luck. Counter-attack doesn't always hit, for instance. Oh, and I've also fixed it up so that characters are more or less susceptible to types of status effects depending on their armour. For instance, poison could do more or maybe less damage. |

Well let me think of some more then.... oh and you could have something like CoV toggle powers that use MP for a duration of its being enabled. Anyway we have: Taunted-can only target taunter Anxious-increase speed, decrease accuracy Robotized-No other status effects possible, no resistance against electricity and water Ofcourse thats an entire can of worms bah |
