See? Annoying. And please don't get me started on the autobattling. Suffice tp say that its encroachment on the last gamelike aspect of the series and leave it at that.
And the buying thing? THats jsut them trying to appease those like me by putting in the WORST aspects of the first game of the series. More a fuck you actually.
Or it could be a bizarre misdirected attempt at increasing difficulty in what shall inevitably prove to be a pitifully easy game, to judge from the last one(s).

What's been irking me about FFXII thus far is the fact that you have to buy EVERYTHING. Spells, techniks, armor, weapons, and supplies. Hell, you even have to buy commands for auto-battling (Gambits, though it isn't a bad thing). This is very overwhelming if you ask me. On that same note, it also seems harder to get gil as well.

Could be worse. They could have brought in FF8's payroll system and FF2's leveling up system.

The disc'd most likely summon demons upon contact with moonlight.

Umm again no, I don't read spoilers for shows I like...save Dr Who because well do you want to watch every episode of a show that has been around longer than you have.

Wha?

How is getting money at set intervals based on how well you fight a *bad* thing.

And while FF2 Orignal's system of "This goes up, but that goes down" is pretty silly. FF2 DoS's "This goes up" system actually makes a bit of sense.

In reality, repeated use of something *does* make you better at it. And yes, I would imagine your endurance to pain (HP) would require you to get hit more, to build a better tolerance to it.

Now now Alan, he didn't quite do anything that bad.

Its not like he said Crono Cross' stat system was good.

Okay. No more level grinind.

Now how about searching for those rare items that only gets dropped about 1 out of every 243 fights with an enemy that hardly ever appears except in this tiny room that's only about four steps wide.

Its not jsut the grinding, its the fact that you ONLY LEVEL UP AFTER BOSS BATTLES, there's a million characters so either you miss out on ALL except three or none are good, and the later battles are IMPOSSIBLE as you can't train for them like you are supposed to do in RPGs.
edit: Uberrares asside, most items can be found elsewhere.
ANd megalong Zelda game? FUCK YES! AT LAST, SOMETHING TO MAKE UP FOR EVERY ONE SINCE OCARINA WOOO!
