The Wii version any way, only a 6.5, which I guess isn't horrible but...ouch. |

6.5 means "pretty good", actually, but, yeah, I'm not surprised. For as chaotic as a game as it is, the Wii version's controll scheme seems ridiculously convoluted. In other news, I cannot wait to stuff a Vampire in a rocket casket, fly past a giant space umbrella, and then shoot it down into the sun. Cannot wait. |

And here is my main fear about the Wii, instead of using the motion sensor when it fits and will add to the fun of the game they shove it into every single game. |

Which is why you get an Xbox 360 and a Nintendo Wii. The Wii to play those extra special games and the Xbox 360 to play the normal ones. |

Ryu: Hey, that's up to the developers first poor foresight. I mean, Ultimate Alliance is an Activision product, for God's sake. If the DS can get past using the gimmick stage, I'm certain the Wii can. |

Yes as soon as I learn to shit gold. Edit : But Nintendo does have some say as to what games get put out, Alot of people complain about what nintendo did during the NES/SNES days but you know games were on average alot better design wise and there might be a reason for it. |

It's not as expensive as it sounds and you're basically getting the potiential library of 2 game consoles, some of the best graphical games with good traditional gameplay ever (Xbox 360) and some of the most unique games you'll ever play (Wii) Though I'm sure there will be a time when developers will learn that the Wiimote is meant to enhance not just use just cause, I mean they did with the DS like Alg said. |

Yar Nintendo DOES need to practice some of their old discretion yes, but frankly I think part of the problem is us consumers got to stop acting like complete rubes when buying games. Theres something WRONG when same-as-the-last-version-and-shallow-besides Sports, Shooter, and RPG games freaking corner the market, and I think we're responsible. Part of the reason Nintendo is doing this is because WE arn't practicing discretion. I absolutely REFUSE to buy a game from those genres unless it takes a step forward from the cliche gameplay, because their all getting stale. Hunters was the last shooter I've bought since Golden Eye. Well actually, I WOULD have bought Goldeneye, but y'know, lacked money. That game was fun and still is. <_< ![]() edit: In short: I approve of IGN's message, ok? |

Well, I was reading off the algorithms faq. Shock does significantly more than air blade(78 vs 128). This is also confirmed by what I saw in game. It may be so that his magic is naturally a low value, but the strength of his attack combined with the fact its free more than makes up for it. Its one of the strongest attacks in the game, considering it multihits and is free(or thats how I recall it working anyways). Also, even if his stats ARE low he still gets weapons, unlike Sabin. edit:
Theres gotta be an easier way to make multiple quotes. Anyways, I had them all at the same area. I should probably clarify on Gau. Gau actually does pretty much all of the major magics. Blue, Black, White, Grey(effect), Etc. He also does monster physical skills too, yes. The lower reliability to actually cast the magic hurts somewhat, but yes he's good, I'm just saying so is Leo. Its a close match, Leo does less but is more powerful at that one thing. Thats the way I see it. Supplimented with cure magic, he'd be a worthy opponent for Gau. Mog does EXCLUSIVELY blue magic. He just does a random blue magic spell. Or at least thats what I was observing with the songs I had. I had those 3 and Setzer together, them all casting their spells, and Setzer using his cards for a cheap free healing, in order to learn gaus rages. |

Leo vs Gau in a fight to determine how good their skills are is lopsided, though as soon as Gau hit Charm, or IO for that matter if they are LV 99 it would be over Regardless, and MP cost is a non-issue in this game since Osmosis is readily available to every character in the and there are very few undead bosses in the game which is the only time MP amounts truly matter. Mog is a Geomancer, alot of his dance skills have atleast one geomancy skill from FFV in it, and I think about 1/3 of his skills aren't used by any monsters. Best hands down way to learn Gau's Rages, Getting the Paladin's Shield. |
