http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xBXlbtyQiQ I don't agree with alot of this but... is it true that the original DS has longer battery storage? It fluctuates with the stress required of the DS(I've seen the battery light fluctuate on menus and stuff, and wifi seems to drain it fast). |

I'm talking gamewise. Turn 1 Warrior attacks. Thief attacks. White mage invises (raises evasion) the black mage. Black mage tempers (raises number of attacks per turn) the thief. Turn 2 Warrior prepares to attack. Thief attacks and kills Astos. White Mage prepares to blink herself (raises her own evasion). Black mage prepares to temper warrior. Yet, only the thief completes his action on Astos, and he's already dead. Why is it that whenever I come up with a good strategy, the boss dies nearly instantly? Lich strategy (I know he's next): Warrior attacks. Thief attacks. WM diaras Lich, or if I need it, curas a party member or heals the party. BM tempers first the thief then the warrior, then makes with the fira. |

DoS FFI is ass. I beat Omega, generally regarded as the hardest superboss, under level 40 with unevolved white mages. Invisira, Healaga, Thor Hammer, and Lightbringer = WIN OVER ANYTHING. DoS FFII, though, is the best version of that game I've ever seen. Then again, that ain't saying much. |

Well, the DS Lite appears to have a less battery life because it comes preset on the highest brightness setting. Change it to match the DS Classics, and it's about the same. |

Ahh. See, what you did there is negate the one positive aspect of the system for me. I have no use for lighting indoors and all. |

*shrug* If I'm playing it indoors, it's firmly attached to the charger. So, indoor battery life is a bit of a moot point. |

No, it's just early, and I didn't really comprehend what you were saying. (Not that I was trying that hard, mind you.) As far as outdoorsy-ness goes, the DS Lite is about 1000000000x clearer and easer to see outdoors than it's larger counterpart, even on the same brightness level. |

You know, maybe I really shouldn't be trying to buy optimal equipment everytime I find a town. Level 23's good for the Earth Cavern, right? Actually, probably more 24-25, since I still can't afford the Knight's Armor. |

>.> I went through most of the game ((playstation version)) keeping as low as I could untill I got the upgrades, since stat growth is a little better for them. Edit : Also if they haven't changed it your Theif and BM will start to feel underpowered ad the game goes on. |

Yeah, I'm just trying to get through the game. The benefits of class change are the magic benefits, really. And my thief is about as good as my Warrior 'cause he hits more times. |

Having discussed the weapons classes with my brother, we decided on the following:- Swordsmen:- Use swords of all kinds. From daggers, to Oversized. This class is all about the variety that swords provide in combat, and neither excels in any area, or is really all that bad in any area. Bowmen:- Use long range weapons, particularly bows and arrows. When these guys attack, it costs them 1 MP to attack. When they run out of MP, their attack goes way down. Spearmen:- Use spears/staffs. Primarily defensive in nature, and quick on the attack. Using a staff would make the user more magically resistant, but the spear would allow for a higher chance of a critical hit. Don't do to much damage. Axeman:- You get the pattern by now, right? Well, these guys rely on the good ol' axe. Low on defensive capabilities, and somewhat slow. But it has a really good attacking capability to make up for this. Maceman(yeah, shut up. Can you think of a better name?):- Uses a mace/whip. The mace provides good defense, but the techniques of this class have a tendency to hit everyone on the field. The whip lowers defense (try blocking with a whip), but provides the possibility of paralysis on its target. |
