And when that time comes, I have a resume showing my nonpolutionary lifestyle, and shall hope that his priorities will fall in my favor. In any case, I have this thing hooked up to the factory next door. |

I'm playing Final Fantasy Tactics (the Playstation version, not the GBA version) since I had a badass file that I never beat the game with. |

I only have the GBA version. I almost considered making an RP out of it, but I haven't beaten it yet due to laziness. Also, serious thought time: Imagine how much more complicated we could make games if humans had four arms. So that game controllers there made the Xbox look like the NES in terms of buttons and doodads. But imagine the sort of stuff one could do... |

Who needs more arms when we still have four fingers that never get assigned shoulder buttons? Or, if necessary, stick some trackballs/analogue sticks onto a keyboard and presto! And what more buttons do we need? Do we need to get to Steel Battalion levels where you have like four buttons devoted entirely to turning on your mech? |

-Tales games, where the skills a controled character can use in battle are limited by buttons -Fighting games, see above -Basically anything where skills or abilities need a button to be assigned to. We're hitting the celing of 2-handed buttonality. Need more hands for more buttons, and more buttons fro more skills. |

If your character has more moves than can be assigned to a keyboard, then I think the developers had wayyyyy too much time on their hands, and also probably some money burning a hole in their collective pocket. If you give a stick/ball to each thumb, that's easily 16 keys that can be reached with the fingers. 24 if you want to use three rows instead of just two. Several dozen if you use the whole shebang. |

And what's stopping a system from adopting this freaky keyboard thing as its primary controller? We're already suggesting a complete controller overhaul. |

Eh, its possible, but the issue is mobility. A keyboard is expressly designed to sit in one place and be acted upon, whereas a console controller, especially now in the Age of Wii, is designed to be lifted, moved, and flow so that the player is more mobile. A keyboard would not fit well with the dynamics and trends of console gameplay. |

If we had a hundred hands with the flexibility of tentacles... we wouldn't be content to push buttons with them anyways. Also, if we didn't upgrade our brains to match, we wouldn't keep track of them individually and would focus on the objects we manipulate more than the individual hands. But 4 hands? Just add a foot pad and stomp a few buttons, that's like having a couple extra thumbs. Also, I hope they don't make controllers that fully utilize every finger. My stepmom has a hard enough time playing Zelda without a left thumb. |
Hey, the comic seems to be updating kind of regularly. Maybe we should vote to spread the word.
