Hmm. I guess saying "watch the sale ads" and "keep calling the stores until you're a first name basis with the answerers" are pretty needless to say... A friend of mine did something a bit smarter then I did: She surveyed her friends until she managed to find someone who had a old friend with clout in a retail chain(forget which one), and had them pull a favor with to send a shipment her way. "I know a guy who knows guy," basically. Works great, as long you knows a guy, who knows a guy, who knows a guy. Edit: Or, if you're willing to drop the extra cash for a 360 anywho, why not try Ebay? |

Because from what I have seen on Ebay I am better off getting the 360 now, then a Wii when the stocks get back up because I am planning on getting a 360 for Halo 3. So sue me I am curious about the storyline. Oh and Blue Dragon....sweet sweet Blue Dragon. |

Ah, I see. In that case, if getting the console's a foregone conclusion, it really just depends on if you could put the money to better use until the games you want come out. |

The "huge" fucker was an Eskimo shaman, lest we forget. His opening cutscene was kinda freaky. Also, Liquid was... YEAH. And I love how you defeated Decoy Octopus without knowing that you did. Incidentally, Decoy Octopus was one strange character, too. Shame, that could have been an interesting boss fight where he kept switching between the FOXHOUND members you'd faced so far. |

If I'm gonna be downloading a gig for a game, I'd just as well wait for the full version. not that I'd pirate or anything. God damn, C&C looks bad ass... too bad my video card won't be able to run it. |

In my opinion, Metal Gear Solid 3 is the best one made yet. The first one was very, very good, and I won't even bring up the second one, but overall I just thought Snake Eater brought it to a new level. However, if you like the convoluted conspiracy plots, 3 has less of that (It does have some conspiracy stuff to it, but not as much as the last two games) and focuses more on the characters themselves, so I don't know if that will alter your opinion of it. EDIT: And as to C&C 3 It doesn't have the Scrin, which kind of annoys me (The faction looks interesting and I really want to test it out), but other then that the demo isn't bad at all. The NOD defenses could use some beefing up (Those Turret Controller things are total shit. I'd have gotten a better defense if I sent out men armed with water pistols), and they need a way to heal their infantry (Look, I know they're evil and don't care about their minions, but if I sink some cash into a few squads of Black Hands, I'd appreciate the ability to keep them alive long enough to earn veterancy). However, the Avatar War Mech is just plain FUN to use, especially once you supercharge them by sacrificing some vehicles to it. GDI, on the other hand, is more to my play style. Their defenses are strong, their tanks are big and neigh unstoppable (Mammoth Tank Rush, goooooo!), and the Zero Troopers are some fucking kick ass infantry that can take on pretty much anything once they're fully upgraded. Their only weakness is they get off to a slow start, so it's easy to get crippled and bogged down in fighting early on before your economy is really humming along. |

I have been looking at Prey, and it seems like it could be really fun, and it is an FPS with a real storyline which is always a plus. |

You can add Fable 2, UT 2007, and The Force Unleashed as to reasons to get a 360 (even though you may think these games hyped up nonsense) |

Prey is on PC, as UT 2007 will be. Fable 2 will probably go to PC in about 6 months to a year, and might have even more features then the 360 version if Fable: The Lost Chapters is any indication. However after being disappointed by Fable 1, I expect Fable 2 to be a disappointment as well. |

Fable was totally worth it for the fact that it let you kill a rock creature bigger than a house with a single arrow just because you aimed at it for five minutes straight. |

I may have picked up on MMO's but I doubt that I would ever play an FPS on PC. |

I never used long range weapons much, except for the fact that any ranged weapon you twinked out and equipped gave you bonuses (Like the Health and Magic regen bonuses) even when not actively using it. Still, there was so much promised and so little delivered on, I can't justify a few good things about it. To Ryu: ... What? How can you not play FPS games on a PC? I find trying to play a console FPS is like trying to play the game with my feet. The controls are slow, imprecise, and clunky, making a game harder then it really is or downright impossible (Area 51 is a game I had a lot of fun with, but when I got the PS2 version because I couldn't find a PC version, the game was intolerable). |
