In C&C3, I almost feel bad using the Ion Cannon on the Nod base. On the little history thing at the end of each mission, the structure histogram for Nod creeps steadily up and up, until a few minutes after the "GDI Superweapon Built" marker, where it drops vertically to about a tenth of its former height. It then stays the same until I can be arsed to bring my tanks in.

I kinda wish I could go in there and, like, build them a new factory. Be like "Um, sorry 'bout that. Here, you can build some new tanks to replace those puddles of glass with this here. We ok?"

Funny I never once felt bad when I did that in the Original C&C, but I also laughed at the NOD for having nukes.

In the original game, you were lucky to take out more than one unit with it.

The one in C&C3 takes out the majority of a base.

Does it leave a glowing pool of melted glass at the impact point? Some of the weapons in Warhammer 40K DoW do that and the effect is pretty cool.

Sadly they vanish after about 25 seconds.

On Average difficulty, I can't stay alive long enough to get my Ion Cannon out. The AI really jumps between doing bizzare things (Sending forward some units, blowing up my defenses... Then retreating?), and being wickedly smart (Attacking from pretty much every single direction at the same time). I'm still working on a strategy that just lets me survive.

Dood, set them to turtle. They never, ever attack then! It's so awesome!

I just made it to 'The City in the Sky' in Twilight Princess. And my first thought was "What the fuck is Bahamut doing in my Zelda!?"

I would say that sounds too easy... But revenge is really sounding like a good idea right about now.

They just build up a huge army and park it in their base and amass base defenses.

Kind of like how I play!

Well I'll have to teach them the value of Ion Cannons and Juggernaut Artillery barrages....

You know, the TP Water Temple boss was kinda boring from a play sense. But the last part was still totally awesome in a totally awesome sense.

I agree. It was all like YEEHA and WOOHOO and stuff.

... you know, if I wasn't moving slower than Supernove I'd probably be a lot further than the desert right now.

I blame the bug hunting and Poe Soul collecting. And the fishing. Though I suck at the fishing.

I just played a few more games against Turtle AI. I lost the first game because I accidentally waited too long to expand, so the AI took both expansions, and while I was building up to go take over one, I got swarmed by the Attack of the Giant Killer Base. It was still awesome, though, because I've never been on the receiving end of a base defense duel before.

Next match I guess they spent their entire economy on their air force. The only threat I had to worry about besides scattered infantry or avatar raids was the occassional missile blowing up my refineries, so by the end I had five or six harvesters. The hilarious part was when my mammoth tank swarm ate their main base, literally around 30 Venoms flew down from their expansion and attacked. Explosions fucking everywhere. Then I won by ion cannoning their expansion and attacking it with the stolen avatars.

So, I just got to Dwarf Castle in Final Fantasy 4. Those who played it may know what's coming next .

So, found the dev room and found the "Magazine". Not very Paladinish reading material, is it, Cecil? :P

Hmm, I wonder what goes on when the screen goes dark in Inns?
