Second, MFD, you know that Super Paper Mario is coming out for the Wii, right?
'Cause, if you don't think that qualifies as an awesome Mario sidescroller, then what the Hell is wrong with you?

First, I did not know that.

Second, if Mario is made of paper, he can't very well use the fireflower, can he?

He gets the giant mushroom from New Super Mario Bros. though.

Yanno, the one that makes you FUCKING HUGE and plow through levels?

Plus you can play as Peach and Bowser.

You could say the same thing about it Thousand Year door.

And that didn't stop them.

... Your words intrigue me. I've never actually played the PM RPGs.

Well, I figure a game like Spore would lend itself really well to the DS.

And if they link up the PC and DS platforms, that's a major thing, really.

Search google news for Wii and spore. Let's just say they wern't impressed with the wii.

So playing almost non-stop for about a week now, I finally finished off Planescape: Torment, and felt I could accurately give an opinion on it now.

I would regard it as being the best story I've ever played. It isn't a game about mechanics or number crunching, it's about the tale of the Nameless One and his journey to be whole once more. If this was a book, I would mark it as one of my all time favorites. The tale is epic, stirring, and tragic, and this is one of the games I could see me digging up in a year or two and replaying, just to experience it all over again. However, the mechanics can be annoying at times. Most of the XP you get in the game is from conversations and interactions, not combat, so depending on how chatty you are and stats like INT and WIS that let you regain memories or choose non-violent resolutions, you can be overlevel for areas leading to it being a bit dull to hack your way through swarms of enemies to advance the story (The last 1/3rd of the game is especially guilty of this).

So my opinion is: If you are the kind of person that plays a game for story above any and all else, you'll probably love this game. However if you're a nut for the crunchy mechanics of RPGs (AKA, fighting through a dungeon for loot) and care absolutely nothing for story at all, you might not like it (Although you might be pleasantly surprised as well).

Meh, 50/50 shot that apology was forced by the higher ups, but as always I don't give a shit about your views so long as you get the fucking job done right.

You should.

Thousand Year Door is epic.

It also had seven or so side scrolling sections at the end of the first seven chapters.

And in said side scrolling sections, you play BOWSER.

I got twilight princess used today... and since Gamestop's comp was down (they had to ring me up by hand) they couldn't get my address to annoy me later.

Also I got A lime green rubber grip to mark controller one so I can tell them apart so I could turn the fricking system on (you can 't turn it on with just any wiimote, It mustt be controller one... if you have multiple controllers the fact that they arn't marked gets.... problematic)

The grip feels fine, but is a fricking bitch to put on... took me like 20 minuted because the thing didn't want to slide.

Luppy, I had the same problem as you, but fortunately the intarweb solves all problems.

Okay, next to the wiimote's batteries is a small red button, yes? And next to where you put the wii games in there's a small flap, inside is a slot for something as well as another red button, yes? You press the one on the wiimote, and then the one on the wii. Voila, registered.

I'll probably get a Wii for Sadness, then pick up what I've been wanting used.

I was rewatching this and I thinik I figured something out... Sadness doesn't look to be the normal run of the mill fmy adventure game.... It looks to be the furure of sprite based gaming...Heres the theory... Sprite based games haven't really evolves since the PS1 when the sprite over 3d thing started. Sadness looks to be a game where instead of normal character sprites, they have actual people doing the actions. Combined with the wii controller that is a shitload of work and a ton of animation... But in the end it looks like spritesa over stages, only this time the sprites are real people and the stages are more detailed and interactive... I'm thinking the game is going to avoid the typical choppyness of Sprite based games by taking advantage of it's movielike appearance and change the angle so that everything suynchs up.... It's a cool theory and I hope it pans out well.

That's also...you know...in the instruction manual that comes with the Wii. :P

Also? (I just beat the Cave of Ordeals in Twilight Princess. I had ONE FUCKING QUARTER of a heart left. With that close of a shave I was expecting the Great Fairy to give me head instead of filling one of my bottles with Fairy Tears.)

...yeah, I think one of my roommates (accidentally) threw away my manual with some of the other remnants after I got my Wii. In any case, by the time I got Wii Play (and thus my second wiimote) the manual was nowhere to be found.
