I don't think B&W 1 allowed you to control the creature either... However, construction sounds vastly improved in B&W2.

MORE ZELDA SPOILERS: Wee, the sky city dungeon is just annoying as all FUCK. Not hard, or even tricky, just annoying. Link was not meant to be a platformer and it shows in faulty collision detection.

edit:meant to mention that I have the boss key. Just need to go find that boss. Shouldn't be too hard now that I finally have 2 bottles >.>. BTW where can I get a non-kid-sized wallet and some cash?

edit2:I'm stuck. The stupid wind turbine woln't start up. Despite the fact that I've lowered all the switch things=/

edit3: O.o fire breath of dragon is apparently instakill even if your carrying a fairy.

EHHHH!? You kidding? In BW2 you can just get him on a leash or give him a role(being wary of how much free will he has)

He can harvest ore rocks from locations FAR beyond your reach, break down walls and gates for your invading armies, and steal from/poop in their storehouses! I just let him pick on the other guys creature mostly

I don't remember the dragon being that powerful. Hard, sure, but not powerful.

Also, I barely used faeries in TP 'cause I never could find an easily-accessible fountain.

If my sources are right, you could control your creature in combat in B&W1. Make it jab, dodge, etc. with hand signs. They even had special attacks. This was one of the great fun parts of multiplayer. Creature battling.

At least, according to GameFAQs.
Dr. Wiley has surrendered. Mega Man has saved the planet from destruction. But will it last!!!

It said you could do that in the tutorial, but every time I tried to do what it instructed, it didn't seem to change anything. The creature still just stood and punched the other creature until it fell down, and no hand waving or clicking changed it. In the end I just let it duke it out with the other creature.

And you could leash your creature to drag it around, but that was the extent of your control. I could never get it to do anything as specific as going to an enemy base and destroying stuff... Of course, I had a very good creature (Even though I had an evil hand, oddly enough...), so it wasn't the pillage and plunder type.

Bah, just give him a rest from the mayhem (with a teddy) and he will do well enough. And Iye...WTH I can't tell him what to do in BW2 even? Multiplayer? EH? Am I missing something? Now I feel jipped!

Yeah, B&W1 had multiplayer, according to gamefaqs.

And you're not alone. I want multiplayer, better story, interactive creature battles, and more creature choices too!

Why do my creatures all have to walk on their hind legs? My cow should be on all fours and ready to charge headfirst, milk flyin' everywhere in my omnipotent RAGE.
No fanfare, no special effects... Just Jon

BTW where can I get a non-kid-sized wallet and some cash?

Didn't see this earlier. But anyway...

(Have you turned in any bugs to the Princess in Castle Town? When you turn in the first bug, she will give you the second wallet that holds 600 Rupees. As you turn in bugs, you will get 50 Rupees for finding one bug of a pair, then she will give you 100 rupees for completing the pair [total of 150 rupees per pair]. When you turn in all the bugs you will get a 1000 rupee wallet. This should tide your money woes, but if you need more there's always the Cave of Ordeals, since the enemies don't drop anything besides rupees. This makes it rather hard as you go through, but the beginning levels aren't that hard. I believe there are some levels where you can dig for hearts as the wolf, but you are better off getting bottles of blue potion, but even with three bottles of blue potion I *barely* managed to beat it [one quarter of a heart left... the last two levels are a BITCH]. But, yeah, money isn't hard to make on this game. Granted, it's easier on OoT with the 'bug in a bottle glitch', but eh.)

...That was alot of shit.

In OOT all I did was goto castle town in future/past and break the pots in the room near the enterance gates repeatedly.

That worked too, but in OoT you could get one bug in a bottle and turn it into three. Then, sell two of them for 100 rupees (50 each). You then take the last bug and it would come out as three bugs. Rinse, and repeat.

Yeah I know, but the fact is I'm lazy, and I never bothered to actually do that when playing the game... or find pretty much most npc crap thats outta the way.(I'm kinda annoyed wallets only come from one source. It would be convenient if I could at least get a slightly larger wallet from one of these many minigames and/or shops. In fact, the only quest important item you can get from a shop is bombs=/. No bombs hidden in the grass either=/.)

Actually, most of my money has come from chests, pots, and enemies.

I'm going to go milk Agitha for all she's worth.

Actually, Minish Cap showed that there are small elves that hide stuff in the grass and make the magic items randomly scattered throughout the dungeons.
Edit: Man, but that sounded wrong...
