And FZ... that was the longest rant about an MMO that I've seen yet.

Knight and JJ would be proud. ^^

Well, I hadn't gone off on a really good rant in a long time. Like, it had been seconds since my last one. And that was something recent I wanted to rant about...

And I don't think JJ and Knight think very much of my MMO playing... There is something almost Karmic about that...

And I like Disgaea and all, but I have no clue what you people are talking about...

Rhapsody was an exceedingly light-hearted RPG made by the same people who made Disgaea... the final boss, Majorly, made a cameo as one of the secret bosses of Disgaea.

It was overall, a very silly game, and the music hurt my ears... although I'd probably pick it up again if I ever got bored enough...

Knight hasn't been online to find out that you were playing AO when he wanted to talk to you, tho'... :P he'll prolly find it hilarious...

So my brother gets home from work. He's picked up some Yu-gi-oh cards.
Bastard gets a Jinzo.

You know, I never knew how true all those "Stay the fuck away from noobs!" comics were until last night on AO...

*story removed to save space*

Heh heh... now you know how it works. Still, just wait until you find a decent group and stomp through a dungeon as an unstoppable machine of death. Good groups are hard to find sometimes, but it's what makes the games worthwhile.

One of my good friends has an mpog addiction.... He thinks the only think I want to do when I go over his house is watch him play World of Warcraft....... The only time I have any fun is when he ends up with a crappy group and I get to laugh at him as he gets ganged by Gnomes....

Oh, we had a good group. He was a stupid noob, but the rest of the team united basically trashed anything and everything that got in our way... Well, except for that one boss...

The damndest thing though, is there was some level 25 Soldier running around that solo'd that beast. We figured he had to have been so over-twinked, it wasn't even funny...

AO's interface isn't the problem for me, the mechanics are (technical term, not the class). I don't know what 90% of those stupid stats DO, and don't have the inclination to learn all of them.

That... and the camera ticks me off.

Anyway, FZ... if the dungeon is only for level 24s, why couldn't you take the boss? Wouldn't the boss be leveled appropriately?

Damn.

Go buy one of the various Yugioh games, Vort.

Falsebound Kingdom for the GC has a HFD, I believe.

Umm, it isn't that hard. You get used to it really fast. Hell, you don't even need half of your stats from what I've seen so far, and when you do need them you'll know. But maybe I just like lots of options to tweak, and that is what it gives me...

And you would THINK it was appropriate, but he was like the Noob Slayer, Lord of Killing. There are two level 30 bosses. Our team of Level 21-25 people could take the first one without even taking a lot of damage. He was the second one, and he could easily kill an entire team of level 25 people, from one of the accounts of one of our team members, and from my own personal account now...

You really ought to give WoW a try, FZ. I know you have problems with paying for games, but it's less than a tank of gas, once a month, and they aren't even charging for it yet. It's not quite as complex as AO for customization, but there's still quite a bit of customization, with each class having at least three different areas to focus on (and in some cases more). And quite a bit of flexibility to spread out among those without crippling yourself.

Personally, my favorite aspect is that - if you don't want to grind to level - you don't HAVE to. I haven't gone 'grinding' even once since I got the game.

But grinding is fun, especially when you get together a huge group of multiple teams, and Bum Rush the entire dungeon...

And considering that I can barely even afford gas for my car at fucking Florida prices, have no job, and a steadily decreasing reserve thanks to college, that sounds like a lot to me...

You and I have VERY different definitions of grinding. I mean just staying in one area, killing the same things over and over again, for the sole purpose of leveling up.

I don't have a problem with that, since it gives me cash which I can never have enough of it seems. I only find I need to grind if I'm Soloing, otherwise a good team can get a few levels in an hour or two, and get you deeper into dungeons then you would be able to go alone.

Plus if I don't want to grind for XP and loot, I can always just get some personal missions for specific gear that I might want.
