Yeah, but when it seems that kind of "Dragging on" length, then we have a problem... The story was great, the graphics.. Well, they were old school, but it just seemed... Lots. More then I was willing to sit through. By the seventieth hour, my mind pulled the plug.
No fanfare, no special effects... Just Jon

If it's lengthy, it needs plenty of plot twists to keep you interested.

See? After playing it for long enough you developed telekinetic powers! Why did you use them to pull the plug?

20-50 hours is as much game as I'll ever need.

In other news, Spidey's first battle against Mysterio (Spider-man 2. Play it now!) has some of the greatest quips ever.

"OK, I'll bite. How DID the fishbowl get stuck on your head?"

"Mysterio? I think I had Mysterios for breakfast.

"Give me your tired and weak, so that I may enslave them all!
"OK, THAT's just wrong..."

"A secret passage concealed by a bookcase? Mysterio, you evil fiend!"

"Ah, Mysterio: the cliche who walks like a man."

"Can you brave my Funhouse of Horror?"
"Funhouse? I thought you were an alien."
"Silence!"

The MysterioS line. The breakfast cereal. I used to have it in my sig on Buzz.

Also, Mysterio spouts out:

"Klaatu verata nictu!"

and:

"You have no chance to survive, make your time!"

I said the Mysterios line.

Okay, I'll bite. Does he kidnap someone close to Peter and hide out at a wharhouse by the pier?

No, that sounds more like the Doctor Octopus battle...

That is the only part of the game I played, and that fight was hell...

I only asked because he seemed to be the ultimate steriotypical supervillian.

You know what? I can deal with having to get the latest patch in order to play a game online. Makes sure games synch up, makes sense. But when the latest patch causes the game to freeze your computer so you have to turn off the power, but ONLY when you play your favorite race... that's just not right...

Nevermind. And no, not all are. They are all steriotypical to a degree, becasuse what else is there to base them on?

Nope! That's Doc Ock, near the end.

What happened is, I think Raimi gave the game developers some info regarding the movie, and they made the game to loosely follow it.

They took out the boring part (Spider-man gives up), and inserted so many other villains: Mysterio, the Shocker("You look different. Did you get reupholstered?"), and the Rhino.

Also, there's Black Cat. Meowr.

Such a good game.

Totally should have this game already. Came out this summer; I bet it's $20 by now.

It's like... the exact opposite of GTA. Well, in that you roam the city, freely stopping crimes, as opposed to committing them.

Consider it recommended. It's less like the movie and more like comics Spidey.

Oh, and it has Bruce Campbell as the Advice Guy. THAT alone should be enough reason to play.

And I haven't even begun to describe the glory of the webslinging interface. It's like webslinging should be. Totally fun.

Replay value: Not so much when starting the game over. However, you can continue playing after defeating Doc Ock. With stopping crime throughout Manhattan, as well as taking photo missions at the Bugle, pizza missions at Joe's Pizza, finding tokens, hint markers, completing challenges, and going on dates with MJ (Have to make it across the city in 30 seconds! Ohnoz!)... you will have many happy hours playing.
