But what I saw of Hyrule was very cool. Anyway, I think they needed to do that to cover the inconsistencies with the geographical locations of Hyrule. Well, how do you explain the Hyrule castle in OoT has suddenly moved from the top of Hyrule to the centre in LttP? As with the movement of Kakariko Village, etc, etc. |

Yeah but I think the Hyrule in LttP is the new one that Link, Tetra and the pirates found. Then again I'm not sure on that one either and I'm not going to get into the Zelda universe. . . *Shudder* |

The biggest problem with Zelda maps was this: Lttp: Hyrule ---------------- W------D----Z ------C-------- V-------------- ------------L-- D:Death mountain V: Village C: Castle L: Lake Hylia W: Lost Woods Z: Zora's River Oot: Hyrule ---------------- ---------D----- ----------V---- ------C------Z --------------W -----L--------- D:Death mountain V: Village C: Castle L: Lake Hylia W: Lost Woods Z: Zora's River The only way to make that match up is to first assume a fair-size path between Hyrule Field and Kakariko in OoT. (Fair enough. You never see the entire trail, like you do in LttP) Write the landmarks in marker so they bleed through the paper. Then, turn the map upside down. Only then, with a little finagling and creative license, do the maps match. Which leads me to my Theory of Zelda - LttP Hyrule exists beneath the ground of OoT. The one game's air is the other game's earth! As for the obvious problems with digging holes in the ground, where else did you thing those weird layered rocks come from in LttP? Or the throwables in geometric patterns in OoT? My theory will revolutionize Hyrule, I tell you! |

See I've noticed that there is no continuity with Zelda. Every Link/Zelda pair get 5 years worth of continuity. LoZ and LoZ LQ were the first story. Then it was refined with LoZ LttP and LA. Then they refined it with TOoT and MM. Then came along Windwaker. Ummm minish cap doesnt fit the patern though. |

Yes Biggy . . . *Calls up NARC* And that is how Majora's Mask came about! By digging through the ground as well. And trees! |

Continuity only works when the creatures consiously use it... Which is obviously not the case here... |

Why use continuity? We know Hyrule gets in trouble, we know a lone warrior saves it, that's all you need! |

Hasn't it been said that it's been a different Link every time? Or did I misread that? |

Well, OoT and MM have the same Link. ...and it's a bit hard for Zelda to remember someone that she has never met before, these "other" Links. |

Yeah, OoT and MM were the same Links, but the rest have been described as different ones, according to WW, I think... |

Officially, the first two Zeldas had the same Link. The third and fourth (LttP and LA) shared a Link. OoT and MM shared a third Link. Then WW had a fourth. I dunno about all the weird ones, like the Oracles and Minish Cap. |

The Oracles are thought to take place between LttP and LA. The shiprwreck in LA comes as Link returns to Hyrule from the funky place in the Oracles, or something... |
