From what I've been hearing, Revolution is back-compatible. It's the main thing thats making my eyes stray from a PS3. Well, that and my irrational levels of hate for Sony.

What we need is not something thats backwards compatable, but advanced compatable. :P

Just finished Minish Cap, short but fun. The boss fights were interesting, it's been awhile since my last 2D Zelda, Link's Awakening was my last one.

So....what do you get when you mix Final Fantasy, Fire Emblem, and Disgaea?

Well, for one, a bunch of pissed off FF/FE/Disgaea fanboys/girls, but that's neither here nor there. - Notty, Games and Stuff.

I would disagree - But there are a few cases where the transition to 3D couldn't have benefitted the game, and a lot where it was shoddily implemented. The 3D Zelda games weren't bad, just too easy and too short...

The 2D Zelda's are primarily about puzzles whilst the 3D ones are a bit more combat-centric and exploration, etc.

For games centered around exploration, they sure were small...</gripe>

I'm finally beating xenosaga episode 1 tom, then I am getting ep2 just so I can continue the saga... I hope they make the third game faster (While boosting battle quality) so I can continue sooner....

I spent ages trying to get the last heart piece, mucking around with the chickens (nothing suspect) and riding Epona in OoT and Wind Waker's world was big, fairly boring but it was big.

OoT was tiny...There was stuff to do, but it was packed really closely together. I always liked the big sprawling wilderness Hyrule of the earlier games, where you could get lost just going across it. Never played Wind Waker, but my understanding was the the "big world" was mostly flat, empty seas.

I haven't played the orginal so I don't know how big it is, but you're right there. LttP's world was much bigger (including the Dark World) but I found there was more to do in OoT. Yeah and Wind Waker's world was a whole lot of ocean. Pretty though.

Looking forward to the new one, though. From the looks of the landscapes, it looks absolutely ginormotacular, with that cool "one-man-against-the-world" feel the older games had.

EDIT: Gonna suck not getting to play it till Revolution comes out though...

If the next nintendo system is backwards compatable I would consider getting it.

I do admit that there are a few games that I want a GC for. Just, not enough to merit buying it.

Also Lup, you cant compare to the people whoplayed Xenogears back when it first came out, then a couple years later we hear about the prequels, then a couple more years later we get the first one.

If the next Nintendo system has more than just a small handful of decent games, I'll consider getting it. ~_~ I've reached a point where, although I do find fun in some of the more E-oriented games, such as Mario and Zelda, there is a lot of crap (say, Pikmin and Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles) that I really wish I had never even touched. Most of the games that I like are available for PS2 and/or Xbox, and not for GameCube.

Oh, who am I kidding, if it even has a handful, I'll get it. ~_~ I'm too geek not to.
