If the next nintendo system is backwards compatable I would consider getting it.

I do admit that there are a few games that I want a GC for. Just, not enough to merit buying it.

Also Lup, you cant compare to the people whoplayed Xenogears back when it first came out, then a couple years later we hear about the prequels, then a couple more years later we get the first one.

I know, i played gears....

I never got Wario Ware, and I'm reluctant to get the DS version for the same reason I didn't get the first. It...doesn't sound very appealing.

Luppy, I suggest you don't mention Xenosaga around RTM. That's how my last full-blown conversation in this thread turned into an all-out argument, and got deleted.

Jon, you can skip the frakkin' (apologies to GJ for using her word) cutscenes if you don't like'em or don't wanna sit through'em. Pause, then hit Triangle.

Plot is a necessary element only the the immersive sorts of games - RPGs, some strategy, FPSes, and some platformers...It's usually secondary to gameplay.

I played Wario Ware at Target one day back when it had just come out for the GC,and I was surprised at how fun it was. For like five second micro-games, it is a lot of fun... Didn't think it was fun enough to buy though.

I will actually play a game if I don't like the gameplay if the plot is good enough (*Cough* Shadowrun for the SNES *Cough*), but gameplay is really important unless game has an amazing, fantastic plot behind it.

I'll put up with shoddy gameplay so long as the plot is good. Or shoddy game dynamics with good plot. Shoddy gameplay and shoddy game dynamics, however, may well overpower good plot and make me say no.

Right now I've got the levels for Possession finished.

0/0 Level 1 - Possess inanimate objects and make them do things they were meant to do.
0/10 Level 2 - Enter bodies, whisper in minds
0/20 Level 3 - Levitation of inanimate objects
0/30 Level 4 - Influence feelings in lifeforms
0/40 Level 5 - Bend and distort physical objects
0/50 Level 6 - Create thoughts
0/60 Level 7 - Small alteration to objects
0/70 Level 8 - Dominate lower lifeforms
0/80 Level 9 - Transform object (nothing ludicrous :P)
0/90 Level 10 - Dominate minds

Ability Points. One point is gained every time the skill is used.

I'm not sure yet, to be honest. I just didn't know where best to put it. This is stuff for a Ghost class that I just started designing.
