Speaking of memory cards. You should be able to use Thumb Drives as memory cards. |

If it comes out the way they say it will, yes. The GameCube Mario game was supposedly going to be something darker, too. Look what happened to it. |

Oh, yeah... because Metroid:Prime (1 & 2) and Resident Evil (0 & 4) and Lord of the Rings (Two Towers, Return of the King, and Third Age) and that new Zelda are all about the cartoony and kiddy. That's eight gasmes off the top of my head. |

And Nintendo doesn't care about the graphics, unless they feel it is needed for the gameplay...They've always said that. Token mature games? Come on, you can't be serious, right? I think Nintendo has done a decent job of playing to various markets. But that's just me... |

Resident Evil is the token mature game I spoke of above. Metroid Prime isn't cartoony and kiddy, I will give you that. Lord of the Rings appears elsewhere as well. It's one of the few games that manage to get onto GCN, too. See above comment about the new Zelda. |

You honestly think that, this close to development, with screens and videos that are making fans ORGASM, that Nintendo will double back and cel-shade the new Zelda? The new Mario being darker were simply rumors. Nothing concrete to them. |

Let's not get into the OMG GAMECUBE! MO' LIKE GAYCUBE!! argument. Please. The 'Cube has enough mature games and MFD has listed the best ones. Oh, and check out Sanity's Requiem, that's fairly E-Rated. And I thought the environments in Pikmin were quite pretty. |

Also, there is the matter that Zelda was always a bit of a dark story, just as Metroid was. I don't know why I went down this track. The games aren't the problem (even though there are a great many I disapprove of), it's the console itself. Nintendo needs to go the way of Sega, leave the console racket, and just start making games.

I personally like having a company who makes a vanilla game console on the scene. I don't like having extra junk I'm not going to use jammed into my gamebox... |

The console itself is technically better than the PS2, as it should be. It came out nearly a year later than the PS2. And I think the time has passed when improving graphics made a console better. Like Nintendo has said, innovation is counting for more now. |

I have two perfectly good DVD players in my computers and my PS2's doesn't even work. And if I want to play music I'll use my laptop, not an X-box... |

Not everyone has a laptop, GJ. Especially 14 year old kids who just got a shiny new game console for their birthday. |

But you can use a PC to play music. And if those shiny extras are shoddy, I'll do without them thankyou very much, espeecially when they tack on an extra $100 to have them apart of the console. |

My television has a DVD player in it. Most families who can afford a gaming console ALSO have a DVD player. And most teenagers have Discmans to listen to their music. |

True, but they almost assuredly would have a music player of some kind. And, from what I've seen, DVD players seem to be cheap enough that any family that can afford to buy a game consol can afford one. A self-contained, portable DVD player costs less than the difference between a 'cube and a PS2's prices. |

You know, I honestly wonder if those sorts of things factor into most people's decision to buy a certain system over another... My reasoning? I like the most games on the PS2, and want to be able to play them. There are almost no games for the XBOX that I want, and only a couple for the Gamecube. *shrug* You can argue forever about the merits of one over the other, but in the end it boils down to the games. Isn't that what the system is *about*, after all...? Maybe I'm just saying this because I'm not as fanatical a gamer as most of you guys, tho'.
