They should do a better job of it, or do like earthbound, and if your below the level needed to beat Gigas, raise your level to the minimum needed to kick his ass.

Gigas was EASY. That was the most dissapointing battle ever. All you need is Multi-bottle Rockets. Max out Jeff with as many as he can carry and still be fully armed. Then just use those until you get to the part where you can only kill Gigas by Praying. My other characters never really did that much in the overall scheme of the battle. Once you get MBRs, the game gets too easy...

Morrowind...I should totally take my quest back up to go through every dungeon in that game in alphabetical order...I'd reached Ashalmimilkala, which (thanks to how much the freaking developers like 'A' names) is like a quarter of the way down the list

Huh....

Another good tactic is to go through items and collect residence - statisticians and armsmasters, specificially. The former gets you bonus EXP for having the item with the resident equipped, and the latter increases your rate of learning new moves for a weapon...

What I did was put all of my statisticians and armsmasters on a single accessory, and move it around to the person I wanted to level build...

The item world is still a foreign concept to me. I understand leveling the items.... but beyond that....

Is Disegaea an old game or something? I've looked at every gamestop in my area, and haven't seen it.

It's just really hard to find... and it is a couple years old, and no one gets rid of used copies...

Great. Oh, well. It ought to still be available on amazon.com or Ebay when the PS3 comes out and the price of a PS2 drops enough for me to afford one. CURSE YOU, DISC READ ERRORS! CURRRSSSEEE YOU!

I costs around a hundred bucks plus postage to fix. I sold mine for 25$ to gamestop. I plan on getting one cheap when the prices drop after the PS3 comes out.

That was my reaction too, more or less. Only with more crying. And feeling rather stupid afterwards.

Congratulations, RTM. You have stumbled upon the reason why Xbox is my favorite console, not PS2.

...You know, the little lady has a point. I'll wait things out a bit, for the next gen. Then older things'll all drop in price, and I'll be able to get all three older ones. (As is, I have Gamecube, and had a PS2 untill it broke.) I'll then be able to judge which of the three I want to get the sequal system to.

I actually went to the trouble of fixing it. Twice. When that didn't work, I got a new one.

New PS2 = $300
Repair = $100
Repair = $100
New PS2 = $200

I spend $700 on my PS2.

I might. It all depends on the qualites of the three systems, which will not be known for a bit, and the games available for eac. I'll probobly just go with big N and Sony after I've saved up enough money again. Er, again.
Baron'd.
Edit: And I'll do some research on flaws in any and all systems before purchasing.

Am I the only person with a PS2 that has never had a problem once?

Seriously, I've packed this thing up, dropped it multiple times, left it in hot cars, left it running long periods doing nothing, and I've never had a problem with it...

Have you had sex with the president of Sony or something?
