That and the tiny screen.
I tried to play circle of the moon on my friend's,
but I kept getting p0wned because I couldn't tell what the hell I was looking at.

I'll probably be getting a ds...
I have no other way to play Dawn of Sorrow.

I didn't like the lack of a backlight either. But that doesn't mean, "Remake the whole damned system so we spend hundreds of dollars just to add one simple little feature", that just means, "get it right next time".

It was EIGHTY DOLLARS upon release and if you don't want it don't buy it.

Yes, but everyone(Or the fiscal equivilant) bought it anyway, just like with the Gameboy Color and Pocket, and just like how they will with the GBAMicro.

Add a few minor upgrades, change the packaging around, and make a killing on it. Brilliant business.

Edit: Oh, and what he said. ::Points up::

Sure.
Except for the smart people who have restraint like me,
and don't buy new systems untill they've been out for two years.

Although I did get kind of p0wned from getting my parents to get my a gameboy pocket for christmas when I found out the gameboy colour was coming out three months later.

There was much rueing on that day.

The Gameboy Color was different, seeing as how it added colour and had games of its own. The Pocket and DS are simply higher-quality remakes of existing systems.

The DS isn't a higher quality remake, it's more like the GB Color in that it works with a whole new line of games. That's like comparing the GB Color and the GB Advance, sure the advance does more for games, but it also runs a whole new line of games.

But the SP doesn't run a new line of games, ir just runs the same games with a back-light. So it would be more like comparing the Gameboy Color with the Gameboy Pocket (I think that was the name for it...).

The "hundreds of dollars" remark comes from lots of people flocking to buy it, stupidarse.

And is that not why Sega died? Putting out too many systems, people stopped caring, people stopped buying? "If you don't want it, don't buy it" is not a valid economical choice.

I thought Sega died because their technology was second-rate in the face of the systems released shortly after it's creation, dwarfing them and quickly starving them into near-extinction as the New Wave of systems came out with shinier graphics and more games.

There's lots of reasons Sega died, Terter.
The main one being that they tried desperately and unsucessfully to compete in the 3d market when thier systems were made for 2d.
Then there's how they mistreated developers, resulting in lack of games.
The 32x was probably thier greatest mistake, yes.

Haha! But that makes SENSE, FZ! That's why it can't be right!

I think that the graphics (for at least the Dreamcast) or as good as most of what comes out for most of the systems nowadays. But that is just an opinion.
