I also think there should be a quasi-horror sequel called UnLife. You could play a vampire who creates an unholy army of the night. The children would be your enthralled fledglings, and the various bonuses and stuff would be eldritch artifacts and new territory that you've conquered.

Wow, it's Vampire: The Masquerade: The Boardgame...

There's more strategy to it then the actual RPG, but that could all be implemented easily enough since there are rules for it (Making thralls, finding artifacts, becoming more powerful, etc, etc).

Especialy if you do what all of the non-goths do and throw away all of the Anne Rice "It sucks to be immortal" stuff.

Seriously. I mean, you can flip cars like they're toys, get shot repetedly without flinching, move at superhuman speeds, cast magic, raise the dead, sculpt flesh and bone like it's play-doh... Vampires, when you get right down to it are pretty damn powerful in the WoD.

Also, damn your filthy hide, Perez Park! That damn forest is a maze, with green fog and Vahzilok Zombies everywhere, ready to rip off your head and play soccer with it... And that stupid mission point that appeared in it is impossible to find! I can always get within 100 yards of it, but I can never actually see it... On the plus side, Hasten at least gives me a fighting chance now that I hit level 12 and grabbed it, and I'm over halfway to level 13, minus the hordes of Debt I get from constantly dying in Perez Park...

Woooooo! Thanks, Mike! Detailed maps, unlike in the game that gives you no map of Perez Park...

Damnit to hell, I can see almost exactly where my mission point is... Right in the heart of that damn place, joy...

I liked the Van Helsing movie for that reason. Sure, Dracula was melodramatic, but he fucking loved every minute of it.

I think City of Heroes has single handedly devised the coolest bonus ever... Souvenirs.

When you complete a series of stories that create a Story Arc, you get a Souvenir that details your adventure (I got a Skull's Bandana from that hard mission in Perez Park, for helping to learn more about the real badguys bankrolling The Hellions and The Skulls). It's not a big thing, but I have to say it's a neat little bonus to be able to look back on storylines you completed and have something to show for it. Dr. Immortalis' deeds are going down in the history books!

It really is amazing how much like a Single-Player game CoH feels at times...

It does! Especially at certain scripted moments, like when you go on a mission and you overhear some thugs say, "Dr. Immortalis has been coming down hard on us." or "I heard Enforcer [The Boss of the mission] was able to beat Dr. Immortalis before!"

Or at times you'll be walking down the street, and a NPC will say "Dr. Immortalis isn't afraid of the Trolls!" [The Trolls are a gang you have a series of missions against] or "Dr. Immortalis has those gangs on the run!" It feels like doing things in this game actually has IMPACT. Like you aren't just "Fighter27699", but you really ARE a hero, and that your deeds are being remembered.

The coolest moment ever was early in the game I was just a level 1 nobody, and I overheard an NPC praising another hero like this ("So and so isn't afraid of the trolls"), and I thought, "Man, I really hope that's me one day that they're praising..." And it IS! Now I'm the hero that's the talk of the town! It's enough to make a villain want to hang up his Evil Armor forever and become a hero full time...

Yeah, honestly, that just adds to the experience, and the "contacts" you have... it's great! I would love to see player characters able to be contacts....

I'm playing Batman Begins...this game is fucking awesome...

It balances stealth and combat perfectly... The point is not like MGS where you never get to really meet your foes, no.... you only hide until it is most advantagous to be seen.... when it scares the crap out of them the most....

I think one of the funniest things I've heard is a gnome yelling "NEED MORE RAGE!"
There used to be an image here telling you to vote, but then Photobucket, the image site made to allow you to do third party hosting, no longer allows third party hosting without throwing a shitload of money at them... and I can barely afford to eat. So no you get some text of me bitching about it, yaaay! Also, go vote.
Everyday I'm tumbl'n.
