Well for one thing...know when you start the first major dungeon and it's alex and Luna...
and it's really ugly. You have to heal like ALL the time?

Yeah. in the sega cd version....Luna isn't there.

There was a bit of a major storyline re-write because of that.

edit: just remembered.

Remember when you're in the forrest, and at the end of you get swarmed by like ten goblins, and that grizzly old guy shows up save your ass?

Doesn't happen in the sega cd version. You have to fight 'em off yourself.
Mrs. Limburger : Crashing, and banging, all kinds of weird noises. Howling, moaning, frightful grunting, things falling out of closets, all over the place!

...ew...

I also vaguely remember someone telling me that, later in the game, Luna DOESN'T jump on the boat in an older version of the game. Am I hallucinating that?

No, that's quite true. In the original version, Luna stayed behind on the island.

So... finished the DDR mission in GTA:SA on my first try. What the hell was so hard about that?

Anyways, I've moved onto Ryder's missions. The National Guard one is quite tricky, and having enough submachine gun ammo would be appreciated. My main problem is that Ryder keeps getting wasted when I reach the fifth package. Also, once, a soldier pulled me from the forklift (that's what I want the submachine gun for).

Any tips?

Woo, Ryder, haven't done that one in forever...

Umm. The first two times are hard, and the third time I did something different and it wasn't to bad. I can't remember what though... I think with experience, you'll just figure out how to operate the lift at max speed. If you do it right, Ryder survives with like a third of his life bar left. Also, you have enough time that you can hop out of the lift once or twice to waste all the current guards, then keep going to buy Ryder more time.

Ammo would be appreciated. Maybe pistol ammo. By the time I get into the warehouse, I'm at Gangsta level on my pistol skill.

EDIT: And I'm slightly upset that CJ does not find it a problem that, not only did Ryder come up with the idea while stoned out of his mind, Ryder is covering CJ while stoned...

EDIT 2: I can get pistol ammo from Emmit... where would I find a submachine ammo place?

Um... somewhere. I know there's a free pickup somewhere in Los Santos.

I think I just killed guardsmen and took their weapons.

So, I spent some time with the Dungeon Siege 2 demo today...

Graphics got the inevitable boots in pretty, voice acting and sound are much better, and the big twist this time is there is actually a story involved... Like, with cutscenes and stuff! You get a Diabloesque talent tree in the skills your developing, which remain the same from the first game (Warrior, Archer, Nature and combat mages).

Basically it seems an overall upgrade, but the battle system tweaks make it both wonderful and utterly frustrating. I'm not a fan of "click it till it dies" school of combat arts, which is why I appreciats DS' system, whre you choose an enemy and your avatar can damn well hit it to death on his own. Now, you either have to right click it to death, or hold down the right mouse button on the enemy, who, more likely then not, is moving everywhere and making it difficult to keep a mouse on him...

Anyway, still playing it, pretty happy with most of it save for the click to death addition. Oh.. And you can die fast if you go somewhere you're not supposed to. Like.. Real fast.

So.... its actually fun to play? Not just "Click on something until its dead, move on, repeat"? I mean in the original there wasn't even any notable variation between characters....

As fo the dying fast when you go somewhere you're not supposed to the original was NOTORIOUS for that. Damn you Skeletal Rangers! The subtle change from Archer to Ranger doesn't turn your bow into a frigging sniper rifle, damnit!

That's the biggest thing, your characters actually speak up at certain points of the game. They have some personality, finally! I mean, clicking on things to death remains, but there's a storyline, and characters speak (No lip-synching, that would be too nice I guess...) and yess al you. You can actually choose comments to say to people, though not very often...

Basically... They're trying this time, they really are, to add some of the "rp" to their "action rpg."

Hopefully, a little less boring as well... I need a little more to do in my RPG's that occasionally swap out weapons/armour...

Ohhh, here's one of my biggest pains with the game.. To get more then two characters on your team? You have to pay an innkeeper. Yes. To get one more person on my team, I'd have to pay 500 gold. Oooowww.

Been playing a lot of Doom 3 lately. The game is great if you have a computer that can handle it. They try to constantly freak you out in it. I'm kind of getting sick of maniacal laughter though. Also most of the enemies are much harder than their Doom Counterparts. Except the Arch-Vile and the Revenant, those are slightly easier.
