Driving this trainwreck back on-topic....

Anyone besides me enjoy trying needlessly difficult self-made challenges that no person could feasibly accomplish within their own lifetime?

Anyway, right now, I've been trying a KH challenge, Expert mode Sephiroth, with a Lv30 (+Shield, -Sword) Sora with just the Kingdom Key, no accesories, no abilites, and only Potions for healing items.

I'm having a *wee* bit of trouble on this one. Heh.

Anyone else have insane challenges that they've tried?

Beating all the Zeldas without getting any heart containers, health potions (green are okay) or faeries. I'm still working on it for the NES ones, but LttP, Link's Awakening, OoT and the silly one with the masks have all been duly conquered.

Also my ongoing battle to beat every dungeon in Morrowind. In alphabetical order.

I'm only on Bthanchend thus far. It doesn't sound like a whole lot, until you consider that it means I'm done with the freaking A's. With the dungeon-naming conventions in that silly game, that's practically a quarter of them, right there. With those done, the rest have been flying by like nothing.

EDIT: Gone through 76 so far.

Yeah...I didn't really know what I was getting into when I said I'd do it. Damned if I'll stop now, though.

that game confused the hell out of me at points though. I don't regret that I stopped playing it. It was driving me crazy.

Really? I thought it was a lot of things, but confusing wasn't one.

Repetitive, maybe, and a bitch to get anywhere without some fiendish Machiavellian transportation scheme, but it was fairly straightforward, as long as you didn't try too hard to mix and match quests from opposing sides...

Is there anyway to save the game (in San Andreas) between Whetstone (After Tenpenny's little errand) and meeting that crazy bitch in the diner? You know, Cesar's cousin?

YES. That is the only thing that drives me nuts about it... How even after following a convoluted set of transports involving Silt Striders, Boats, and Teleports, you STILL tend to have a 15-30 minute run to get to whatever dungeon is next on your Morrowind World Tour of Doom... That's one thing Daggerfall had going for it. Just bring up the map, and click where you wanted to go, and it Auto-Transported you there...

Of course, Morrowind has neigh unlimited replayability with Mods, so it takes the lead again...

As for GTA, there is a Save Point by the starting trailer where you get the Camera at.

FZ...A wonderiffterous way around it that you'd probably like.

You play a powerful Mage right? Just create a Jump 100/Self/2 Seconds spell. Without heavy armor, one single hop takes maybe ten seconds and crosses a good three map squares: more if you aren't carrying much, are wearing the Boots of Blinding Speed or are Feathered. I've crossed the continent in under a minute that way. Friend of mine tried it with a few minor enchants and made it from Dagoth Ur to just off the shore on Dagon Fel in one leap.

I play a Battlemage sort of character, just customized (Heavy Armor, Hammers, Destruction Magic, and some other stuff. Haven't played in a LONG time...). However, your spell idea intrigues me... Control would seem tricky, but I'll give it a shot at some point.

S'not that bad to control, actually. Using your maxed-out ninja Acrobatics skill, (Don't try to lie; I know it's at 100) you can control your speed and direction mid-flight to a surprising degree, and if you slow down when your target comes into view, you hardly overshoot at all. The real trick is navigating using only the overhead map.

Another thing that speeds the trip is to acquire the Cuirass of the Saviors Hide and the Boots of Blinding Speed. The Boots pump your speed to about 250-300, and the Cuirass mostly negates the blinding effect.

<_< >_>

Remember that one scroll you get from that one dead guy near the beginning of the game? Use it, then pay to train acrobatics. Instant 1001 Acrobatic levels. (That is... if you could pay the hefty price to gain that level.)

I haven't played it in a while, though, so I probably have no idea what I'm talking about any more.

The Scrolls of Icarian Flight? Never thought of that one. Wish I hadn't used them all now.

Well, i started paper mario two over on a different file and i'm trying to see if i i can get over 1000 coins grand total AND beat it under 24 hours.

I'm already at the halfway point of chapter three and have another five to go.

Although, i'm skipping most of the side quests so i'm going to have to be really careful in the final chapters, least i keep getting myself killed.

Oook.

(I can never do those time challenges. I have a bad habit of pausing a game and walking away, leaving it like that for days. Some of my save files play time meters are maxed out....)
