First time for everything.
Dr. Wiley has surrendered. Mega Man has saved the planet from destruction. But will it last!!!

On the other hand, there has always been a Mario game at launch (The Gameboy Pocket wasn't really a new system more than an extension). I see some sort of Mario game being the gem of the Revolution's launch setup and a couple of other games to give a slightly larger selection at first.

Course, it would be really cool to see TP as a Revolution Launch title. That'd certainly be a good marketing decision, and you wouldn't see me complaining.

Just because they've never done something before doesn't mean they won't do it EVER... based on all the attention Twilight Princess has been getting, it seems to me like it would be a really good choice to debut with the Revolution.

</my two cents>

Bah, Luigi debuted the Cube, and you KNOW IT.

In gaming news, I finally pulled out of my rut (not being able to get any farther in any games I've been playing) before I did something drastic... like delete a game I'm far in, like MGS.

Speaking of which, I just killed Vulcan Raven. And apparently Decoy Octopus, to boot. Heheh... down to two FOXHOUNDs, and Ocelot doesn't seem to be ready for a fight.

Then again, Liquid doesn't SEEM to be alive, but that's a load of crap as far as I'm concerned. He's going to be inside Ray for the final boss, and I'm going to cry.

Unfortunately, I made a little mistake in the room right after Vulcan, and ended up in Ray's room with one hit left... and then saved like a friggin' moron.

Ah, well. I'm safe. I have my box.

Y'know... I still need to play MGS. And MGS3. I know what happens in one, and grasp basically what three is about, but I never felt the drive to ever actually try either of them. Not that I'll ever be able to play the original MGS, seeing as it's... y'know... old. But man, was number two fucked up.

In other news, despite being three years old, morrowind does still indeed kick ass. It's weird though, how, with elder scrolls 4: oblivion looming around the corner, all these kickass mods are coming out for morrowind.

I'd like to know why no-one can get it through their skulls that Smash Bros. is a NINTENDO only affair. Every forum or messageboard I've seen since it was announced has been full'a "MEGA-MAN! SONIC! CLOUD!".

How dumb are people?

Very. And Cy? They recently re-released Metal Gear Solid as a Gamecube-only affair, with improved graphics, longer cutscenes, and some gameplay features from MGS2. I dunno which ones, I think the ability to look around in a first-person POV. It's called MGS: The Twin Snakes, and it's Players' Choice now.

I just wish that they'd do the same for 2 and 3, since I only own a Cube...

You can just skip 2. You won't miss it.

And 3, there isn't anything more they could add to 3. It was one of the best games
EVER. Plus, it's way to recent, it was years before Nintendo could pry MGS1 from Sony's iron grip...

Well, I can hope to find the original MG games on the Revolution database... find out about Solid's adventures in Zanzibarland...

And hey. If I can take all the random twists in MGS, I can take them in MGS2. They appear to be a series staple.

No, you misunderstand. MGS2 isn't random, or hard to understand, or anything like that.

It's just stupid as hell. The characters, the plotline, the whole thing just leaves you hitting your head against a hard object after a while.

The only saving grace in the whole game, is that if you play it, then MGS3 reveals some of the major plotholes it leaves in it's wake, which is very satisfying.

Also, if this is any indication, you might want to skip Metal Gear 2 as well and just play MG1 if they have it on the Revolution...

Bah, BAH! So, it has a vampire in it. The first one had a cyborg ninja, a psychic, and an Eskimo Shaman who ran around ALASKA without a SHIRT ON! I'm prepared for campy stupidity.

Meecha V, that is great! An old timey Disney world in KH2!

In terms of Smash Bros. Revolution, how likely/ great do you think it would be for them to have:

1) Sonic (which was hinted at in an interview in the first issue of what used to be Expert Gamer[forget what the new name is])

2) Captain N (a guy can dream, can't he?)

I love this walkthrough... my need to play MG2 has been sated.

As bad as MGS2 was, and as far out as they tried to make the story, I still enjoyed it. Plus, having never played any of the other games, I didn't hate Raiden for taking snake's spot. But what will always stick with my is the naked romp through the corridors.

Also, who would win? Space ninja or cyborg ninja?
