I think Viz is the one that handles Inuyasha, and that seems to be done alright...

...Well shoot...

I guess it was just a big rumor or something that I ended up believing. Pretty sure it was just some confusion.

Matter of fact, I found a forum post, dated just August 15th. The poster said a magazine told that 4Kids hadn't bought Naruto, but Viz had, so I'm pretty sure some people just got really confused.

So, sorry for the confusion, but I've been too busy watching the original to research the dub, anyways. :P

One thing that I wouldn't mind being edited out of most animes is one character saying another character's name...alot.

How many times does Kagome say "Inuyasha" an episode? Or vice versa? Jeesh.

Alright, so, there I was playing Parasite, v1.8. My self-sacrifice was able to save the entire ship. After a certain amount of time, a horde of aliens spawns on the Planet, and I told the ship to get the hell out of there and leave me behind. This move saved them, since it also turns out the Alien Host and it's only Spawn were abandoned on the planet as well. I spent the next five minutes fleeing NPC and PC aliens to get to the Planet Destruction switch to wipe out all the aliens in one fell swoop. I finally get to the button, press it...

"For Balance reasons, the Planetary Destruction cannot be initiated until the Alien reaches it's final form."

Hmm, in version 1.7 they don't have this... Sucks to be me. And of course, the PC Spawn promptly turns up right about now. I'm down to about half life, and I used up my Bomb already escaping the first time, so I know I'm going to die, and pray for my only hope. The suit I use is unique, and along with doing tons of damage, it has a 1% chance every time it fires of having a Meltdown and going nuclear, and I need that meltdown. A small chance, but I'm praying. The exchange is as follows...

Spawn: It's over!
Me: It's not over yet.
*Down to 1/5th life, a few hits from death*
Spawn: Prepare to join the aliens.
*At 2 hits from my death: "Warning: Meltdown Initiated". I then die and am infected*
Me: I'll see you in hell, alien.
*BOOM!*

Best. Game. EVER!

That's pretty cool.

OK, so the other day in Metroid Prime, the Pirates are ripping me a new one in their Phendrana Facility. I miss the ice beam, for I am used to freezing them and then shattering their frozen remains. I have the thermal visor on, because it's dark, but this makes the gun turrets invisible! By the time I killed everything in the room, I was down to 1 energy point. Not 5, not say, 30, ONE. One more hit could kill me. I turn off the thermal visor to look for the energy capsule hidden in one of the stasis tanks.

Unfortunately, that's not this room. That's the corresponding room in the other lab. I accidentally release a metroid, and manage to kill it promptly, switching back to my thermal visor just as I hear "SQUEE!"

Five missiles for that. Whoop-de-doo. I find a crate, and get 30 energy points. So, I'm at 31. Still not alot.

I head up the elevator, and run across the open platform with Flying Pirates firing their missiles at me. One hits. 26. Another. 21. Never have I noticed how weak their attacks are, and never before have I had the unique pleasure of thanking GOD that they're weak. I race into the other lab, and the door slams shut behind me. I take the elevator down. Almost to a Save Station, which restores health. I take out the pulse bombs, no health, of course. Never when you need it. I enter the observatory. I jump across to the Save Room. One more hit. 16. I reach the door, and blast it open, welcoming the save. My health shoots back up to 499, and I leave to exact my revenge as I beat a "strategic retreat" outside to Thardus.

While saving outside the Facility, I pause to think of how much Metroid, especially Metroid Prime, reminds me of a Lovecraftian tale set in an advanced civilization. Think about it. An ancient evil beyond comprehension. Gruesome beasts who have no place in this world. Most of the plot took place long before the main character ever arrived. By sifting through various sources, from Chozo Lore written upon the walls, to the Pirate Logs squirrelled away on their precious computers, Samus must piece together what happened on the planet, and then go to defeat the ancient evil.

OK, so the fact that she actually succeeds is a pretty big difference from most of Lovecraft's stuff, but still. My point remains.

Tecnically, in Lovecraft's stories the main charactes generally come out unscathed, merely slightly scared. About half are loony, but the other half are fine. Its the sidekick types that keel over. Like the baby Metroid, the person the computer from Fusion was based on, etc.

The point about the ending was that the ancient evil was seemingly defeated. In Lovecraft, the "hero" usually turns tail in the face of the cosmic horrors. Except in Lurker at the Treshold, which was mostly written by Derleth, anyways.

Hmm, brill observation, MFD...
I wouldn't've drawn the parallel because I haven't played any of the games where you read stuff yet...

...

I forget how much easier it is with the ice beam... which I'm supposed to go get now. But I'm looking for some more missile expansions, first.

50% of the logbook filled with the demise of Thardus. Probably missing some Chozo lore, but I'm reasonably certain that I grabbed all the Pirate Logs in the Phendrana Facility.

[EDIT: Yes, I know that there are more logs in the Mines Facility. Shh!]

And I haven't died yet!

I think i've just reached a first in my lifetime.

Somehow, almost every last little bit of my sanity wants to find the assholes who designed the hard mission for knuckle's last stage and throttle them tell their heads pop off in a non violent manner.

(brace yourself.)

WHAT THE HELL WERE THEY THINKING!?!?! AGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH! *goes insane*

*recovers.*

Damnit, i can't believe i wasted precious time of my lifge beating that. And all i got was a freaking D for ranking. ( An A rank being the highest you can get while E is the lowest.)

I recently aquired Advanced Wars: Dual Strike.

It's... a lot like FE, only you don't really need to worry about losing anyone. And you get giant tanks.

The megatank is a thing of beauty... it's around five times as big as a regular tank, and salvos so large that it can only carry three (as compared to nine or so for other tanks). It does, however, obliterate anything it comes into contact with.
