You can't play one-handed if you need the analog stick... it looks clumsy... ...there WAS a 1-h controller for the PS that was a lot more comfortable to hold than that looks, but just about all the games now need the analog stick(s)... |

"It is essentially a wireless, square remote that works something like a computer mouse would in 3D space. Imagine sticking your hand into a virtual box and having your TV understand how it's moving in there. Now you're getting the idea." It's. A. Wand. ... Actually, THERE's the revolution. |

That might not actually be a gameplay controller seeing as how the revolution *is* said to be able to play DVD's. Looks more like a DVD remote then anything else. So, yeah. Hoping that a more game oriented controller comes out. *crosses fingers.* |

Maybe you youngin's don't remember the last time Nintendo tried a "Revolutionary" controller concept, but I do. It was called the Powerglove, and it was the worst controller ever devised. It was like trying to play a videogame by having a controlled seizure in your hand. Thus, my expectations for this are understandably low. |

...I'd trust that more if I wasn't all too well acquanted with how finiky mice are... (and I've used a top-of-the-line optical, wireless mouse; it's just as finiky as anything else)... I'll hold off on my disbelief that the system actually works half as well as a traditional mouse, tho'... |

I don't wanna play games with a DVD remote. god knows how slow it is navigating menues with a dvd remote. And I sure as hell don't wanna spend hours pointing my arm directly at my tv. |

For it to work even remotely properly, you'd need to have sensors scattered all around you. ...ew... |

Not quite. All the needed sensors are probably built into the remote. Stuff to judge when you're twisting and turning the controller, and when it's moving in certain ways. Then it just transmits that back to the system. My thought is, it's going to eat batteries like a drug fiend to keep all this running at the same time... |

okay, show of hands, how many people actually read the article themselves? EDIT: they should be able to solve that by putting a little charger base in the console, or by selling the wired version |

Also, what of the older games? I mean, you can hook GCN controller to the Revo, but COME ON. Using the Cube controller's kinda lame. It DOES look interesting. I'll give it that. And certainly revolutionary (the wand aspect), unklike the first batch of photos posted here. And hey. It worked for the Light Gun. A little bit. EDIT: I did. I think that the GCN controllers are gonna be used for cross-platform games... |

Wired version? Look at the Revolution. Do you see a slot for controllers to plug in, because I don't. The charger base is a workable idea though... |

I started to. It seems to consist mostly of "Nintendo is so DIFFERENT!" edit: ne'er mind. a) It's designed like a remote. I don't like remotes. b) Like someone already mentioned, you probably have to keep it pointed at the box all the time, rather than any way you want. c) the little string connected analog stick with nothing between means that there's nothing supporting your hands together, and I don't find boxes too comfortable. d) Wireless controllers have well-known problems. Even if they fixed it to usability, batteries dying will ALWAYS be a problem. That thing has got to eat power like a fiend with all it's sensors and whatnot. e) The sensors themselves... who knows how susceptable they are to wear-and-tear... Hey, I said I was gonna hold off on my disbelief, but eh... |

yeah, I just get the feeling that RM and Immy didn't read it. it looks like it has the potential to be awesome, but also the potential to be as buggy as florida in august after being dropped once or twice and being handled by somebodies brother with sticky hands EDIT: it also mentioned in the fishing one that there is a wired version |

Wired as in the Joystick add-on that attaches to the remote, not wired to the system itself. The only wires that'll go into the Revolution I can see are going to be the Power and Video lines. |

you didn't read it all. the fishing bit said that the wireless controllers do not have a rumble feature yet, so the testers used the wired version EDIT: in response to FZ to RM I'm not a fanboy, I'm just pointing out that this doesn't seem to be as bad as it looks one you read the article. and what questions? |

Like I said, the article is "Nintendo is so DIFFERENT, isn't it cool?" The end is better, tho'. However, then they say something like this: "We have to wonder how it might be holding your arm in the air for an hour or more, and if that will cause any frustration." ...no, it will cause PAIN... |
