Hmm. Thanks for the article, MFD.
My thoughts on this only scratched the surface to what this guy went into.

I DID notice that nintendo events stuff, then just seems to let everyone else go to town with it, and then genres die after awhile.

Also that when something awesome and innovative comes along, it gets tossed aside from being so different from the norm, even though at its heart its closer to the original idea...

Because nintendo rarely polishes things, so to get the most out of your gaming experience you need to wait a few years (as I always do) and select the one that has the genres you're most dedicated to.

Am I the only one that's willing to throw away the money to get all three?

Oh, gods no, me neither. But history shows I'll have them by the halfway point to the next gen.

I'll probably get the PS3 first, wait for the Revolution to come out with something I REALLY want and grab it, and leave the X-box 360 to rot, ROT I SAY, muahahahahaha!

I'll probably get whichever one has a game I want first.

there's really no reason to get a system that doesn't have new games I want

I'm starting with the Xbox 360, then moving to PS3, then saving the Revolution for last.

I won't get any of them if Super Smash Bros. Revolution uses fucking motion controls.

...maybe a PS3 if a Kingdom Hearts 3 sees the light of day

That's one that baffled me when I first heard about kingdom hearts II.
I assumed Kingdom hearts I would be square characters in a disney world and Kingdom hearts II would be disney characters in a squaresoft world...

although thinking about it I guess these game mechanics are better...

Either way, it promises to be a much better sequel than Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. ~_~

I didn't like that it was, with the exception of brief cutscenes between levels, basically the same game as Kingdom Hearts but with what I found to be a much less entertaining combat system.
