No, I've never played chrono cross or chrono trigger.
It's the PRINCIPLE of the thing!
Mrs. Limburger : Crashing, and banging, all kinds of weird noises. Howling, moaning, frightful grunting, things falling out of closets, all over the place!

Peter : Sounds like my weekend.

Then you have never played Chrono Chross. Its a sequal to a game that involved time travel. THe plot was based around the repercussions of said time travel, combined with inexplicable bizarreness and alternate universes.

Because we all know that traveling through time results in supercomputers manipulating people's minds via gullibility.

Er, I refer to the creation of several alternate realities. ANd in this case yes, because the supercomputer was a direct result of there being a non-apocolyptic future. Another time travel result. THe controlling peoples minds part was just convoluted, though...

I still believe that the FATE supercomputer was Mother Brain of the robot factory. I don't know if that was ever confirmed or not.

I think it was something invented by Luuca that randomly got sent back in time and fell under the control of Lavos, or somesuch.

I just remember that, the very moment I saw that thing, I nearly shrieked, "MOTHER BRAIN!!!"

What I said is part of the plot. Maybe MOther brain was a result of the same reaserch carried out by less skilled people or something.

I've carried on meaningful discussions about DBZ characters. With how much respect I lost there, I have nothing to lose from doing the same about Chrono Cross. :P

Chrono Cross is actually kinda okay if you ignore everyone but Kid, Serge, Glenn, Karsh, Harle, Linx, and maybe Luccia, the porre soldier dude, Guile (magus!), and the other two divas.

But that still leaves twenty or so people that are erronious.

Ah, yes, Kid. THe Clone/reverse aged/time travel duplicate/? thing. With a different hair color than the orriginal. Raised from a few months by a person with no accent, yet has an australian accent.

Technically, there's some time between the orphanage burning and when you finally meet her. She was still rather young when she escaped from Lynx, and could very well have gotten the accent later.

But there WERE no accents in CHrono Trigger. THe only two people who don't speak the same language in the same exact manner in that world are Kid and Harle. Even if you factor in the only-see-important-things/people, the stuff you DO see is always a representative sampling.

Please, that's not a Chrono Cross thing, all RPGs have their people that pick up bizzare accents when no one else in the world has them...

Wasn't FZ originally based off of a Chrono Cross character?
