yeah didn't you have to get your gun down to 3 bullets before it would work?

Who wants to rambo their way through a mgs game anyways?

I think so. Plus, you have to have your Rations switched off to use it, so there's no room for error in boss fights.

I beat the second, but I'm not so sure it was a victory.

Or the heavy cost of watching Raiden run naked all around everywhere.

Ugh... MGS 2 is like the bastard step-child that most people wish was never born...

I've played and beaten all 3, and eagerly await 4. MGS 3 was not only the best in the series, it's probably one of my all time favorite games ever.

Hmm, hey look, Fable. And it's for the PC. I heard that game was good. Guess I've got a little spare money, I'll grab it.

*Later*

Hmm, let me just install it for now. I'll play it later.

*Later*

Let me just finish the opening, and I'll stop.

*Later*

Let me finish my training at the Guild, then I'll take a break.

*Later*

Let me finish my first quest, then I'll stop.

*5 hours after I first started...*

Just... One more... Quest... Maze has... Info for me...

*Game crashes to desktop when I hadn't saved in hours*

... Nooooooooooooooo! *Sob* Why have you forsaken me?!

Arguably one of the best games I've ever played. It's currently doing battle with MGS 3 for top slot. It's just so damn GOOD.

In one mission, it made me feel more heroic then City of Heroes ever did... And the customization is awsome! I had a lightning slinging, sword swinging hero in no time, tearing through the forces of evil.

EDIT: The PC version has infinite saves, muahahahaha!

Bah! Greatness like this can't wait that long!

I would go back to it right now, but the thought of how much time I lost makes me sad...

The games I slap $50 down are usually games I plan on spending cash on way in advance. Next one: Oblivion.

I'm tempted to check it out. The Xbox version was crap, but I hear good things about the changes they made for the PC version. Do Good/Evil choices actually make any sort of difference beyond how random, meaningless people that don't do anything or matter in any way react to you?

Don't know, I don't think I'm far enough yet. There are two special spells, one good and the other evil, that you can get, and to get through some Demon Doors requires you to be of a certain alignment, but other then that I haven't noticed any real use yet.

What about the romance minigame? Is it any deeper now than just standing there flirting for ten seconds and then buying a ring?

Haven't tried it. Been more focused on cutting a bloody swath of vengence through the bandits...

Considering most interactions are composed of using the various Expression skills, and not real conversation, I doubt it. There is a mention of "Most girls don't like to hear the same flirts over and over", so maybe it changed somehow, but I haven't tested that.

That was in the last version too. All it means is find two or three and alternate between them.

Meh, it's not perfect, but it works I suppose.

Currently I'm more focused on the insanely hard task of saving a child from being sacrificed to the Hobbes underground... God thingy. I'm not willing to sacrafice my bandit ally (He may be a bandit, but no one deserves that fate...), but the sprite that summons the Legions of Doom is too hard to beat... Maybe I'll just come back later with some XP and better gear (Although at least I finally was able to upgrade from Leather armor to Chainmail, and upgrade my Iron Katana to an Obsidian Longsword)...

Oh, god, I despised that quest with a fiery passion. If they haven't fixed the gestures, believe me, it gets worse. On the previous version, the kid is an idiot, like all people following you. You have to stand there screaming in his face seven times before he understands not to follow you into battle on the way out and then stand there dying horribly.
