I didn't do that quest until quite a ways later. By then I had some pretty nifty gear that was almost Godlike.

On a unrelated note, Advance Wars DS is mopping me all over the halls.

...I still can't beat hard move Javier in AWDS. I simply can't get through his defense. And three megatanks.

The normal mode campaign only gave me slight trouble in... mission 22? I can't remember.

I'm stuck in Mission 9 myself. Then again, this is the first time I played a Advance Wars copy I got a chance to sit down and play, so..

The hobbs cave. you can get mass experiance running back and forth through there, as long as you have the ring explosion spell. me and my friend were trying to get the multiplyer as high as possible to open that damned door.

Dude.... Advance Wars: DS farking ROCKS! Soooo much to do, I don't think I'll ever finish it all. The extra abilities you can assign to the CO's is a good idea, and it means having to play through all those modes. And the dual strike functionality adds a whole new level of strategy to the game. And the stylus! So much faster, me LIKES.

Serious, SERIOUS improvement over AW1, and thats saying something.

Edit: You know, I think its interesting what genres seem to be really shining on the DS. With the possible exception of the Hunters demo(and even that was a good showcase of the DS), I like all of my DS games so far, but they are all really niche games. But with Kirby Canvas Curse, Meteos, and Advance Wars you can no longer say the DS has no games  .

Unlike the PSP, which hasn't really had a standout game, as far as I can tell.

Except maybe Lumines.

I never bothered with most of the doors.

Ehh, once you beat the game, there's not much else to do besides the Demon Doors.

Except go on murderous rampages.

Heheheh...

That's one of my biggest beefs. You can play past the end, but...there's no reason to. There's nothing to do.

Yeah, once Fable's brief 13-hour lifespan is up, the fun pretty much evaporates...

Thats what makes Morrrowind so good, and why Fable gets negatively compared to it.

That and you can play Morrowind for a long long time. But the game gets kinda simple around level 20 if you dont have the expansions.

I'm still working on my project to finish Morrowind as every preset character class, since I've done it so many times as my custom Mercenary class that I wanted something new. Right now, I'm up to Bard.

Fable struck me as making many great, amazing, wonderful conceptual promises and then failing to live up to them.

Yeah, Fable was pretty dissapointing. Excellent style and all, but I was expecting something close to Morrowind size.

Yeah from what (little) I have played of Morrowind and what I have seen of Oblivion, it looks awesome. Too bad it will be way beyond my system . . .

So....what do you get when you mix Final Fantasy, Fire Emblem, and Disgaea?

Well, for one, a bunch of pissed off FF/FE/Disgaea fanboys/girls, but that's neither here nor there. - Notty, Games and Stuff.

It's a very good reason to look into Xbox 360.

*Went on epic quest to nearest EB Games, obtained Fable: The Lost Chapters. Is now waiting patently for Fable to install.*

I dunno, I haven't run out of Fable content yet, and it's still just as fun now as it ever was...

My only complaint is running out of money, and not having any good money-making possibilities other then Missions. That shiny Bright Platemail armor and Master Greatsword becon me... And Mana Regeneration is too slow, I imagine if I were a pure mage class, it would be intolerable. There is a skill to get more mana, there should be a skill to increase mana regeneration rate...

Also, enemies seem to get to easy pretty fast... Battling Berverines, or whatever those Werewolf lookalikes are seemed really, really easy...

I would have bought an XBox for Fable, if it let you play as a girl. But nooo....
Hey, the comic seems to be updating kind of regularly. Maybe we should vote to spread the word.
