Yes. Yes it does. Where on the third disk did you get to?

Well it does, in that you *REALLY OBVIOUS SPOILER WARNING* finally get to poke holes in that ambiguously-attired prettyboy, Kuja.

To be honest, I think it peaked around the time they left the Mist Continent. As I've said before, they needed to finish Freya's story. And Amarant came out of nowhere.

Not that 9's my worst FF, mind you. I just think it could have developed a bit better.

But then there would be no room for a sequel!

And Big, I assumed as much. Killing the obvious villain ain't that much of a SPOILER.

Not if you didn't like the first three. I personally enjoyed FF9 immensely, but I can see how some people wouldn't.

Usually it's the people who came into the series around 7 that say they hated 9 and the people who starte the FF series on the NES or the SNES that say they really liked 9.

Strangely, I'm one of the people who came into FF through FFVII (bar one of the FF Legends games I played on the GB ages ago) and I personally considered IX to be pretty enjoyable. My main problem with it was that only Zidane, Vivi and to an extent Garnet were the only ones with any real character development. And out of them, Vivi was probably the most developed.

Still, I'm glad that Zidane wasn't as angsty as most of the FF protagonists (bar that one scene on Disc 3 of course. If you've played it, you know what I mean).

Oh yes, but he had good cause, and snapped out of it before it became annoying. Had good background music too.

You know the last enemy in the area? First time I played, Zidane tranced at the start of the battle.
Must have done 9999 damage about four times before Garnet showed up....

Also, I got into FF through 7, then went out and got the rest of the series. Still liked 9, if only for the many references to the previous games.

Ironically I'm one of the ones that came into FF through a Pre-FFVII game (FFVI), and I hated FFIX... It is seriously the most boring FF I played. I would almost even rank it worse then FFVIII... I at least wanted to keep playing FFVIII because I'm stupidly persistent when it comes to FF Games, but I thought FFIX was so boring, I just stop playing, and never started again, and never even felt the urge to start again...

The only two I have yet to play between 1 and 10 would be...3 and 8.

I found the rest all enjoyable in their own unique fashion.

Which is particularly strange, since I DID start on FF7...

Doom was particulalry pleased by that tale. President Shinra proved to be a man almost worthy of the alligence of Doom.

Until he died like a pansy.

Muaha. Me am annoyed by Shinra, but it was pretty funny when you got to beat him one on one and he makes his daring escape.

Hmm. Could Doom in fact be ... Rufus Shinra!?! I haven't seen him since the move.

if not, it would still be a decent Frossover. Imagine Doom vs Sephiroth or the FF7 heroes. Intresting.

I don't know a lot about Doom, but from what I know he's like the Batman of Supervillians, IE he is pretty much ready for anything and everything, and anything you do was REALLY planned for by Doom all along.

Need to read up more on him...

Unless you're counting the fighting games he participates in, in which case his ass is grass to a little blue robot. :P

Yeah, but Fighting Games always weaken everyone...

Although I found Doom to be pretty useful in Marval vs Capcom 2, personally.

As a support character?

My friend could do really mean things with a team of Jill, Cable and Hood...
