So I finally got Spiderman 2 for the PS2. It's a good game, but it starts off pretty slow... And it seems too easy. Plus having to earn a certain number of hero points per day seems like a way to extend the length more then anything, since all the tasks are a cakewalk (Although it does make it easy to buy new powers).

I also got Sly Cooper and the Theivius Racoonis [sic?], but I haven't tried it out yet. Going to give that a shot soon though hopefully.

Oh, yeah, and Dawn of War: Winter Assault? Still awsome. Just thought I'd mention that.

My main complaint was the difficulty in finding the damn powerup store. I literally spent two WEEKS playing that game every chance I could, just trying to find the store. Couldn't find it. Haven't touched the game since then.

... You know, I usually save the "Earn xxxx Hero Points" for the last objective in each chapter. You know, since completing the story objectives gives you most of the hero points anyways.

And, yeah, it starts off slow, but you get insulted by Bruce Campbell. ALOT. And that makes up for it.

Tried that. Nothing happened when I pressed that button. My game must have been retarted or scratched or something...

Oh yeah you do. That so far has been one of the most worthwhile points of the game...

And I learned the Hero Points trick after beating Rhino (Who was really easy...), but you still seem to need to make a lot of detours for Hero Points even after the main quest. I just beat the part where you beat that Hollywood Special Effects guy, and I'm earning the rest of the points I need to move on. What I'm really waiting for is fighting some of the good villains...

EDIT: Okay, that is definitly off then. You should have tried to excahnge it for a new one...

... The Hollywood SFX guy IS one of the good villains. :P

Also, Randy, on the Cube version, you need to hold the Z trigger and press Start.

Took me awhile, too. They didn't change Bruce's line, but it's what the manual and the game's text says.

You also get some, but not alot, of points depending on how you beat the villains. If you spam the punch button, you'll get, like 15 pts. But, utilizing your web and dodge and special moves nets you more, like up to 100.

Using the same special move on every thug cuts down on how many hero points you earn for the KO.

I know Mysterio, but the real question is, is he worth remembering?

I know Mysterio, I just can't remember his real name. So THAT'S who this guy is... Well, the first encounter with him is dissapointing...

And favored weapon for beating baddies is hurling them around with Web Line. Toss them in the air, throw them into walls and each other, it's just so damn fun... I hate those guys that avoid every single attack you throw at them except for Counter-attacks though... So annoying...

Wait until you find the LAST encounter with him... ARGH.

My favorite is, I believe it's the Webhammer? You do a three-hit combo, then web him. Keep pressing the web button, and he'll be swinging the guy around like a ragdoll.

Yeah, you need to buy that one.

EDIT: And there's another move you can buy to use as an extension of this one... once you web the guy, at any point you can press the jump button, and if there's a lamppost nearby, Spidey will jump to it, and tie the guy up...

EDIT 2: Even the guys who block any move except the counterattack aren't immune to a good ol' speed-web attack.

I would have laughed harder if I actually got to go "take a picture of the Latverian Ambassador..."

Bloody tease.

Final Fantasy III (remade for the DS, utilizing polygonal graphics, as well as both screens). Coming soon.
