>.> I will say this: I did enjoy Vegeta's whole thing during the Majin Buu saga. Vegeta during Buu was my favorite time of all of it.

Yeah, because he actually grew as a character, which he didn't really do throughout the rest of the series all that much.

The bit where he sacrificed himself to try and stop Buu stunned me when first I saw it.

Best scene in the whole series. DB, DBZ, and DBGT.

He died a hero. I like to believe that Piccolo was wrong when he told Vegeta where he'd be going. I believe that one act was the redeeming moment that made him one of the "good guys".

Hell yeah! Vegeta did that thinking he was going to the HFIL, so it was a truly selfless act. That kind of thing is like, auto-redemption.

That tops anything Goku's ever done, really. Goku's sacrificed himself before, but there is a difference between knowingly throwing yourself into Heaven and knowingly throwing yourself into Hell.

Especially when you consider the series dues ex(and namesake), the dragonballs, which can revive you. Already been revived? No problem! Look! There's another planet which has dragonballs! Their dragon can revive people that already have been brought back!

Earth was destroyed about fourteen times throughout the course of that series.

BAM, it's back again, only to be destroyed once more.

Actually, it happened twice. But with all the mountain-destroying fights, it could have happened about ten times.

Buu Saga seemed to exist to make two points:

A) Vegeta is more of a hero than people realize.
B) Goku is an incompetent boob. A very powerful man, but a very, very stupid one.

Similarly, the Cell saga seemed to exist solely to
A: Prove the point Goku doesn't have to be the one to save the day
B: Kill him off

*has seen 6 episodes of DBZ and 1 episode of DB*

*considers it 6 episodes too many*

My main problem is how they express their strength in numbers, the numbers get exponential, and all the characters involved in any given fight can destroy the planet they are fighting on.

I would watch DB, but the knowlege of what it turns into keeps me from doing that.

Ah, they stop using the numbers system after the Freiza saga.

Let's count all the times that Goku made things worse during the Buu Saga.

1) Gohan should fight Dabura. I know he's only as strong as Goten right now, but he really should fight the most powerful enemy we have at the moment, even though it will give our great enemy more power!

2) Okay, Vegeta, I'll fight you and give our great enemy a ton of power.

3) But I'm not going to beat you. I could do it, but I'd rather drag the fight out, even though that will make absolutely certain our great enemy wakes up.

4) Majin Buu, I am SSJ3 now. I could kill you. But I'm not going to, because I want my son and Vegeta's to do it, even though he's far too young to be risking his life for the sake of killing. ...oops, you absorbed them. (If I were Vegeta, I would be PISSED about this)

5) Well, Gohan, looks like you'll be next to fight Majin Buu. I can handle the legendary sword better than you can, and I can go SSJ3, but still, I want you to do it. ...oops, you got absorbed.

6) I am Super Vegitto! I can destroy you with ease, Majin Buu, but I'd rather let you absorb me just like you do ever strong fighter, because I'm overconfident in my ability to not be absorbed! (Okay, yes, that one worked, but imagine for a second if it hadn't)

7) Instead of rescuing our Super Saiyan kids to help us fight Majin Buu, I'm going to grab Hercule!

8) As Super Vegitto, we could easily destroy Majin Buu. But Vegeta's right. I don't like that plan. I'd rather have us fight him one at a time, even though he's the most dangerous threat to the universe.

9) Majin Buu, I am SSJ3 now. I could kill you. But I'm not going to, because I want Vegeta to try his hand, and in order to do so, I have to let you kick my ass. (Wait, he didn't learn his lesson when he did this to Fat Buu?)

Got Fire Emblem:Path of Radiance in the mail a few days ago, been playing it non-stop. This game has sooo much new stuff in it, I can't fathom how I got along without it. Things like leveling your weaker units out of battle with Bonus EXP, revamped Skill system from FE4-5, and, my personal favorite, making custom weapons...all excellent additions.

The story, full of war and political intreage as per usual, does a good job avoiding cliche-ness.

All the characters have well-rounded personalites and interact often with Ike, the main character.

Also, it seems the difficultly got the kick in the pants it needed. This is no FE8 walk-in-the-park.

All in all, definitely worth the $50, I payed for it.

Has anyone had a chance to buy/play Shining Force Neo (PS2)? It looks promising, and I may pick it up after awhile. Probably won't be for quite some time though, since I just went on a bit of a spending spree using some money I got from working over break. Got a PS2 (slim model), Budokai Tenkaichi, and Mobile Suit Gundam: Encounters in Space.

If I had a penny for every time I didn't have a penny, I'd tear apart the universe in a paradox.

And so long as the irresponsible explore unknown lands, we need never fear...

"The first skating game without load screens!"

IT'S NOT THAT FUCKING HARD TO MAKE A GAME WITHOUT LOADSCREENS, YOU FUCKS! IN FACT, IT'S PRETTY MUCH EXPECTED! LOOK AT METROID PRIME, OR LEGEND OF ZELDA, OR SAN ANDREAS! SURE, THE LAST ONE HAS A LOADSCREEN, BUT IT'S JUST ONCE! AT THE BEGINNING! YOU'RE ALL A BUNCH OF RAT BASTARDS, AND I HOPE YOU BURN IN HELL!

SHUT UP! JUST SHUT UP! YOUR GAME AIN'T SO GREAT!

You would have done better to get Budokai 3 instead of Tenkaichi.

Sorry for the doublepost, but

*thoughts on Samus Aran's chozo armor*

We've seen from Metroid Prime and MP2 that Samus's weapon is dependant upon her hand position, that altering the position of her fingers causes the weapon to change forms. Now, I've noticed that every hand position has the thumb out, which leads me to suspect that the thumb is how she fires. I believe there is a button or something beneath her thumb. She presses it in to fire, she holds it in to charge. This allows her to fire her weapon without disrupting the beam. Guessing she probably also has some SERIOUSLY trained dextral maneuverability.
