More FFIV Advance stuff.

It's irritating to admit, but Palom completely dominates Rydia in terms of Black Magic. Now sure, Ry's summons bring her back up to par, but...it's frustrating to be forced to use level 2 elementals when Palom has the level 3s at the same level.

Once I can beat Bahamut, though, things will change rather nicely. :^_^:

Got Edward's ultimate harp, and to be honest, s'not to shabby. He now does about as much damage as Cecil with the Excalibur, which was interesting, but when I realize that the Ragnarok/Crystal Sword will just about double Cecil's attack strength...yeah.

And as it turns out, Heal *DOESN'T* work with Hi-potions. That, coupled with Eddy's shit-tastically bad HP, makes me reconsider his overall usefulness. Yang sucks too, by the way, but at least he has 2300+ HP....

Cid, Palom, and Porom are still rocking, though.

Can you use Cid's ultimate tool as an item(thereby making his attack power insane?)

***************************************************************************

Thor's Hammer (Cid)
Raises Strength by 15.

When used as an item in battle, casts Blitz.

***************************************************************************

Triton's Dagger (Palom)
Raises Intellect. by 15.

When used as an item in battle, casts Flood.

***************************************************************************

If they mean Sabin's blitzes, awesome. If they mean some lightning element spell, still kinda awesome. I'd need to see these two effects in action though.

I would think they mean Edge's Ninja Magic, which as I recall is Thunder 1.5/Water 1.5, etc.

Possibly, I'm used to the japanese name for the ninjitsu, and Flood is a pretty accurate description of the water ninjutsu.

And more like 2.5... which would be awsome for a free attack.

... If I'm reading this right, Quake(which is cast by his former best weapon) has a higher modifer though, so if the weapon itself doesn't raise the power of the attack, then the old weapon might be better.

After you defeat the Giant of Babel and FuSoYa leaves with Golbez to fight Zemus.

You can switch in the Elder's Chamber in Mysidia.

Been playing Devil May Cry more, and I've got to say... This game is friggin' HARD (No, I'm not setting it to Easy mode! Shut up!). Even battles with regular enemies can be really hectic, and battles with boss characters are just insane. However, it's also a lot of fun, so no matter how many times I get destroyed, I keep coming back for more... I can almost get the Second boss (Big demon with a sword that does ridiculous amounts of damage if he hits you even once) down to 50% life now!

Easy mode is a joke in that game, they make the targeting automatic and it tends to screw you up for who you are going after half the time.

Normal is much better, I once made it to the final boss on Dante must die never beat him but I came close once or twice.
Malia Weinhagen talking about her father Dave Arneson

"The biggest thing about my dad's world is he wanted people to have fun in life," Weinhagen said. "I think we get distracted by the everyday things you have to do in life and we forget to enjoy life and have fun.

"But my dad never did," she said. "He just wanted people to have fun."

Boss with a huge sword?

Oh yeah, him. Nelo Angelo's his name, and he is IMHO the absolute most FUN boss in that game.

I beat normal. Got my ass kicked a LOT on hard though.

Don't worry too much about it, FZ. The first DMC is by far the most difficult of the series (has completed all three).

It takes a little bit of getting used to initially, but once you get your head around it the control system is actually pretty good..... even if the plot isn't all that great.

Unfortunately, I haven't played the original in so long I can't give you many tips, but remember your dodge-roll. An invaluable tool.

Even MORE FFIV Advance stuff...

There are very few things I dislike about FFVI. The endgame is one of them. Once you hit the Lunarian Moon, the strength of the monsters, even the random encounters, SKYROCKETS from where the story left you off. With Behemoths, Blue/Red/Silver/Gold Dragons, and Wicked Masks running around, you NEED the good weapons to level effectively. Problem is, the monsters GUARDING the weapons range from tough to FREAKING INSANE. Whether it's Dark Bahamut opening the fight with a Mega Flare, killing everybody, or that damn Ahriman-recolor that Dooms the whole party, it's giving my just-hit-the-Moon level 35-odd characters a bit of a rough time.

This wouldn't have been a problem if they'd have put more content in between defeating the Giant of Babel and heading off to Lunarian Moon. But they didn't. Instead, the game forces you into a Level Up or DIE scenerio, then makes it frustrating to level. Irritating as hell.

... I never had a problem. But that's because I tend to get lost, and I never run from a fight.

Also, a hint. Equip someone with the Dragon Whip, and their attack is super effective against dragons. Equip someone with the Mute/Silence Staff, I forget what it's called, and they'll be super-effective attacking the wizards/sorcerors/whatever.

[EDIT: My Rosa and Rydia could kill Wizards and Dragons, respectively, in one hit.]

Also, if it's one of those Bahamuts, just remember to cast Wall on the group before he Megaflares you.
