An hour? Pfft, an hour is just setting up the baasic frames, not choosing costumes, rearranging for better quality, making sure everyone is in the right place in the frames, choosing every prop and backdrop... And that's preproduction! Then there's post op where you edit and move things and then you gotta give it to your pr people and.. yeesh!
No fanfare, no special effects... Just Jon

A little to much emotion. Take it from the top, people, and this time a little less... enthusiastic.

Sonic Rush is awesome. Way more enjoyable than the other recent Sonic games. There's some great variety in the levels, and they feel much less forced, and more fast paced in all the right places.
The fact that Sonics second level has this bit in the background movie that sounds exactly like the main beat of "Louie Louie" played a variety of tricks on my brain, though.

Also, Smash Football is amazing. It plays with your concept of time to such a degree, that five minutes worth of play feels more like an hour. And charging up for a power smash leaves you vulnerable to attack by the opposing players, making those three seconds feel like an eternity, as you pray that nobody gets close enough until you fire. Seriously guys, play this game.

And I hope that someday along the line, we'll be seeing a sequel for the Revolution. It's just so much damned fun.

Finally, Shadow the Hedgehog. It's...alright. Inconsistent. The best level so far was one where you had to escape from the Ark while it was collapsing around you. Basically, you had to jump from debris to debris. Which was falling through space at varying rates. It felt so good finishing that one.

I got around to picking up the screen protector for my PSP, fortunately it left no air bubbles after I put it on...

Oh, and I went to another store where I happened to run into the NES version of Final Fantasy. I know it's not all that uncommon to find on Ebay and such, but it's my first time seeing it in an actual store. Decided to pick that up too, and with a couple of trade-ins I got the price down to ~$10. Even the save battery still works. It was a tad pricey for a cart-only NES game, but meh...

What gave me a laugh was how the employee there was going on about how rare it is. It's not that uncommon (as I said, there are plenty floating around on Ebay, sometimes quite cheaply when it's just the cart if you're lucky), just really overpriced because of the name. Had it been one of the NES Dragon Warrior games (excluding the first), or one of the possibly one of the SNES FF games I'd understand his reaction a bit more. I wasn't in the mood for trying to dispel the guy's ignorance, so I just nodded, paid for the stuff and left :P

Geist! Whee!

OK, there are only two multiplayer modes I understand... in the first, you possess people and objects and try to kill the vessel your opponent is in. No biggie.

The second is a variation on capture the flag, where you must possess a person and bring him back to your base.

Well they were all very bland games that have been collecting dust on my shelf: X-Men vs. Street Fighter (Marvel vs. Capcom series is far superior...), Dragonball GT: Final Bout ( :hurk:), and Star Trek: Shattered Universe (single player never caught on for me, and lack of multiplayer killed it). They won't be missed...

true but mine was in box with instructions....

Also Lunar Legend has some gapeing flaws that seem to be there foor the sole purpose of being annoying....

First off, they have this system where you can fight battles, and get exp, or you can fight battles and get items that have to be collected and taken back to town wro bew sold for gp. I seriosly do not understand the point of including something this assinine.

I have to clear levels twice to get what I would get if I was plaing any other rpg.

Then there is sprinting. Sprinting obviouslty makes your character run faster.... It also drains their hp..... I kept wondering why they would start sweating and I would be in battle with 2 hp before actually doing anything. The entire pount of this system seems to be to make people walk slower so the game seems longer.

I was in a hurry my first try playing, and now that I read it the scripts not that bad. although half the things the game wants you to do it doesn't tell you to do. This includes finding 2 guys in the woods early in the game.

Are you sure you don't mean Lunar: Dragon Song?

Lunar Legend was a port of Silver Star Story without the cutscenes and a few other small changes in the mechanics of the game. I'm pretty sure those weren't among them, though... :wha:

I just got Kingdom Hearts 2. Advice time!

The white things you fight in the beginning are not to be treated the same as Shadow Heartless. They are much stronger than that and if you go in with the "hurr hurr I kill j00 fast lol" attitude, you're dead meat. If you need a comparison, think of them like Neo-Shadows or Warriors. Also, Action Commands are your friend in the first boss battle.
When I say you are a monster,
When I set fire to your name,
It does not matter where they hear it from,
Whether truth or lies, it gets said all the same!
