Eh. Takes some getting used to, I guess. Alls I know is, my brothers and I never bothered with 50cc and 100cc on MK64. On MKDS, I gotta work my way through the lower ccs to be good enough to do well in 150.

And Geist multiplayer is brilliantly fun. Especially when an opponent thinks you can't kill him because he's possessed a gun turret, and you sneak up behind him and frag hm with the rocket launcher... good times, good times...

EDIT: And MKDD had the WORST blue shells ever. If you didn't get nailed by one when you were nearing the finish line, they usually had some other way to just FUCK YOU OVER.

EDIT 2: Also, Big N has finally realized the power of Super Mario Bros. 3 nostalgia. Airship Fortress and Desert Hills are my two favorite courses.

I know! those things always seemed to hit you right as you crossed a finish line, or leaped over a giant pit(thus, knocking you into the pit, destroying any chance you had of winning the race).

I have reason to believe you did not fully read my earlier threat.  If my demands are met, I will keep him.  If they are not met, he will be returned.  Your statement merely reinforces how wise of a decision the wording of my threat was.

... Anyone else think Delfino is supposed to be, like, the Italy of the Mushroom Kingdom? I mean, the city definitely seems European, especially racing through Delfino Square in MKDS.

Also, of all the MK64 courses, they brought back Choco Mountain, Moo Moo Farm, Frappe Snowland, and Banshee Boardwalk?

Fucking Banshee Boardwalk? Did anyone even like that level?

Also, that's a nice touch they have, shrinking the music as well when the lightning strikes.

I'd like to bean the dude who picked the retro tracks.

I mean, come on these have to be the most bland tracks ever! Where's DK Mountain? Wario Coliseum?

Don't get me started on the tracks chosen from MKDD. Sherbert Land and, um... Kalamari Desert, and DK Jungle Parkway? I can see leaving ot Wario Stadium because of the infernal shortcut, but the other courses would have been good.

I would have liked to see the Rainbow Cup.

You know, the four versions of Rainbow Road (Did MKSC have one? It had to, right?).

It had one. The best one is still the original SNES one though.

Considering they are beside the snes courses, I think they did a good job picking courses. All the retro track courses are balanced with eachother. Besides, I LOVE Frappe Snow and Banshee Boardwalk! Moo moo farm is a must, if only for nostalgia. I must have played that course over a billion times.

To recap, I like all the SNES and n64 related courses, I can accept a few cuts on the gcn courses(though waluigi stadium woulda been really nice, that they were giving us gcn courses at all was nice). Maybe the GBA courses could have been better, but I wouldn't know, I don't play the GBA game...

Waluigi Stadium wouldn't have been great, since it would have been basically Wario Stadium in the Star Cup.

And YOU may have played Moo-Moo Farm a billion times, but I know I avoided it for Luigi Raceway, Koopa Troopa Beach, or a course in another cup, all of which I considered better courses.

Just... I think there could have been better courses.

I don't remember SK, and I haven't played MKSC, but let's all list the four courses people would have liked to see in the Retro Cups.

MK64: Royal Raceway, Yoshi Valley, DK Jungle Parkway, and Koopa Troopa Beach.

MKDD: Wario Colloseum, Baby Park (YAY!), Mushroom City, and Daisy Cruiser.

Also, my four favorite new courses:

MKDS: Airship Fortress, Luigi's Mansion, Desert Hills, and Delfino Square.
