Yea aside from when all four crystals decide to cast their magic on the poor princess.

Psh. I'd rather raise her special attack so she heals others better*rolls eyes*

Oh wow, I was screwing around with the debug room that I just discovered from the FAQ, and skipped to the volcano, and managed to take 0 damage.... YAY that means if you time perfectly, your guaranteed to take NO damage from most(non-magical) attacks if you defend right >.>

Having played through 'till the bit where you're inside the giant purple dino...I can safely say, this game is yet further indication that Nintendo are genuises, and also completely messed up in the head.

The hammer brother speaking leet was amusing, especially since it didn't last too long.

I'd buy PiT, really I would, but the leveling system annoys the HELL out of me. The slots. Fear the slots.

Maybe it's just me, but Prince Bowser actually seemed a lot more competent than his older self. Mind you, I've only played up to Bowser's Castle after the Koopa Cruiser gets blasted.

That ain't far into the game. But yeah, he does seem more competent thus far.

Half-life 2: Not an amazing game, but the physics engine is fun to play with for a little while.
No fanfare, no special effects... Just Jon

I just beat Earthbound. I love that ending.

Now go through it again and think of the most amusing name you can do for the final boss praying. Though nothing ever tops naming ramza "My Wang" in FFT.

Alright! Just decided to pick up the Megaman X Collection. So far, I've played a bit of MMX2, 3 and 4. I found 2 to be a bit lackluster, but 3 and 4 have made up for that quite well.

I'm still looking for a Maverick who matches Needleman in awsomeness, though. Sometimes I think it just doesn't exist...

X3 definitely felt out of place with the Saturn version instead of the SNES one...

Not that it's bad thing, mind you.

I can't STAND X4, though. The voice acting is just AWFUL.

To be honest, I've been skipping pretty much every cutscene I've come across in X4. I've never been exposed to the horrors of MMX voice acting, and I'm not about to start now.

I'm liking the game itself, though. It just feels... I don't know. The bosses all (Well, almost all. Frost Walrus for fail.) feel tougher than X-Series bosses generally do. It just seems like a game that I'll be replaying a couple of times.

I found a game called XIII at the local video store brand new for about 21 bucks, its a pretty decent FPS, the fun thing is that its Cell Shaded and the cut scenes are done in comic book fasion.

Why hp? Just why?

Because Toadstool's restorative spells, such as Group Hug and Therapy, were based on her HP, as I recall.

Oh, and when I said I beat the game with Mallow, Mario, and Toadstool... I meant to add that I did it without the Lazy Shell armor (doing it without the Lazy Shell weapon would be SILLY).

No they wern't, they were based off her magic power. Or so says the faq and my experiments.

Edit: and dude, just about every boss in the game can be taken out by a good super or ultra jump, maybe 2 if they are really hardy. Theres also the fact that if you have any skill at timing, its completely possible to take no damage(regardless of defense) from the majority of moves>.>.

Yeah... I never really used the Lazy Shell (A) much. It's got the best defense of anything in the game, but it cuts both forms of attack too much. Lazy Shell (W), on the other hand... yeah. As if Mario needed any more damage...

Edit: Ah, never mind. Yeah, another problem with the Lazy Shell (A) is that it cuts her healing too much...

In fact, every move in the game except come back(which either heals half or all of a targets hp, regardless of what that is) is based on magic attack. Anyways, I generally recommend a leveling strategy that raises star for magic on every level but those where a greater amount of attack can be gotten on pow(levels 3,6,9,12,etc).

http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/snes/file/s...battle_mech.txt
some exceptions could be made for Bowser considering his generally lower special attack and higher pow attack, some modifications might need to be made.

well if you did anything but go SMACK with bowser you fail the game anyways, of course I sucked at timing back then

That's WAY more thought than I put into levelling up video game characters. Also, I don't use strategy guides, especially for levelling.
