I've got the GC version, and read a few reviews for the PS2 version. The PS2 version gets a bonus mini-storyline and a few new weapons (Nothing that is noticable until multiple playthroughs), while sacrificing graphics and having a different control scheme. So basically, they're indistinguishable. I got the GC version because I frequently have my PS2 out of action, and needed something to play on my GC since it's usually hooked up. And it was 20 bucks! |

*checks Gamestop.com* Damn, the PS2 version costs twice as much. Eh, I don't really have the spare cash to throw at my game collection right now anyway. Still recovering from book purchases at the beginning of the term (another term starting in a couple of weeks, which means more books on top of that), and the $250 I put into getting a Neo Geo AES a few weeks ago. With any luck, I'll have some spare money by summer, and there may even be a price drop in the game by then, too!

So... Suikoden Tactics... already I'm interested and it seems to be stronger than Suikoden IV was. Even better that I'm actually enjoying this after the sheer shit-fest of FFTA. I can honestly say that game put me off SRPGs for at least a couple of years. And yes, I've imported my Suikoden IV clear file. Does Snowe wear his armour when you recruit him or does he have one of his other outfits (the armour's my favourite, but I'm just wondering)? |

RE4 is good. I like it, but...ammo is far too common. That's my only gripe. And before you lunge down my throat, let me explain. Resident Evil was never a shooter. They've tried doing FPS's and they bombed spectacularly. The problem with having ammo EVERYWHERE is that you don't have any reason to be worried. Using Leon's physical attacks and ludicrous amounts of ammo, you can Rambo vast amounts of these enemies without breaking a sweat. And that's all well and good, but it's not what RE was supposed to be about. It's action, not survival. The real feeling of fear in the Resident Evil games comes from your ammo. It comes from not having enough ammo to kill everything. It comes from that thought of "Oh, shit, I just wasted six bullets on ONE zombie!" If you have more ammo than god, then it doesn't matter what you're dealing with, snake, Hunter, zombie, you can waste them all in quick time. The reason RE is frightening is because you don't have enough ammo, and need to find ways of getting AROUND the danger rather than Ramboing through it. RE4 is a fun, fast-paced action/adventure game. But it's not scary in the least, because there's too much ammo. |

Huh. I thought the reason RE was frightening was the following: "OK, now lemme just turn down the... wait, no. Stop spinning. Go back up this way-- WHY ARE YOU WALKING BACKWARDS? I HATE YOU!" |

Yes, the controls do need some work. I don't know why they went with first person controls. But...that's hardly the point.

Does RE4 have the limited amount of saving, as well? That concept bothers me, as if they personally included it because they hate me. I am a prudent man, I save as often as possible. |

I don't believe so. But it's been a while since last I played. I've never really run into trouble with the limited saving in the regular games, to be honest. They give you so many Ink Ribbons that it's never become an issue with me. |

That Bomberman game's been brought up before, though that's the first time I've seen that trailer. Doesn't make it look particularly better, though.

Nope. Never really caught on to the KH series at all, for some reason... |

You should, it's a great series, as long as you get past that the FF characters might be shown in a shallow way in the game but the Disney parts actually improve it greatly. Still nothing better then Goofy kicking ass. |
