The odd thing is, pretty much all his complaints are about the graphics engine and not the game itself.... which would be fair enough, but it demands a monster rig in the first place, and any other graphical glitches should be fairly easy to bugfix.... to be honest, a lot of his problems point towards a memory leak, which hopefully should get fixed pretty quickly.

I'm really starting to hate what video games have become. I'd much rather play a well made 2d game than a slap dash 3d game...

I swear, if Bethseda screws up Fallout 3 I am going to give up video games forever. (well NEW video games.)

Screw Mario and Luigi and their random stats. Random = teh suck. I want Paper Mario, only with a bigger party!

What crack are you smoking?

M+L doesn't have random stat growth. The growth is set, what's random is the extra you get at level up. I can't see why'd you have a problem with it.

It's like complaining when you only find a hundred dollar bill, instead of five of them.

I don't know what I didn't like about Mario and Luigi. I honestly don't. There was just something about it, something I can't quite place, that turned me off. *shrugs* As was stated before, I'd be more inclined to angle towards a Paper Mario style RPG, but I want Luigi to be in it as a playable character, if that makes sense. Not just "Ooh, look, you can make Mario look like Luigi," but an actual playable character with his own techniques and specialties like the rest of the party. >.> I also want to see more of Vivian and/or Goombella. As romantic interests, I liked them.

As for Oblivion...this is what (s)he gets for grabbing the first Xbox 360 on the shelves. Anyone else remember the PS2 and learned from that experience? I did. Everything (s)he is bitching about is graphical errors, which can probably be fixed rather easily either on the game or the console.

Okay, I officially love Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones. All that PoP fun from the last two games, plus a sarcastic voice in your head.

I recently played Sands of Time and really didn't like it.

Was there a particular aspect of the game you didn't like?

'Cause I can understand if you didn't like the stupid dream sequence.

The sheer amount of platform jumping to battle is way off to me, Jumping from flagpole to flagpole gets old really quickly for me, and having to use the dagger to kill alot of the foes was just irratating after the third guy. I didn't even pay attention to the dreams after the first time.

The Two Thrones has captured the characterization of the Prince of Persia flawlessly. The characterization he built over the course of Sands of Time and Warrior Within remain strong and evident, as the Prince struggles to overcome the more ruthless tendencies he acquired in WW. However, the most illuminating character aspect is that the Prince is still every bit as stupid as he was in past incarnations.

For anyone who has enjoyed seeing the Prince prove, over the past installations, how he is truly stupider than a bag of hammers, you will not be disappointed. We can see that the Prince does not draw his fearless nature from courage, but rather from insanely poor logic. We saw this many times over Warrior Within, and it runs just as strong here.

For anyone interested in how the Prince's insanely poor logic is evident in Two Thrones, here is a small sample. "Immortal, perhaps, but not invincible!"

He's like that the WHOLE GAME.

Hee hee.

I just like Gabe's Two Thrones comic. "And what did he use this power for? To kiss a girl."

And about that spoiler -- Technically, immortal DOESN'T mean invincible. It just means unaging, with the additional CONNOTATION that you're immune to the things that come more often with aging, such as disease and weakness. Forever young does not mean forever alive, and a sword to the neck should stop an immortal just fine.

Well, if you pay attention to the dreams, they give you hints about what you're going to be doing next. Though, sometimes they lie.

Also, in combat, the Jump-Sword-Dagger combo works out well for me. There's one other move, and those are the only two moves you need for Sands of Time.

Though, I suppose the game's real strength is in the platform jumping. If you don't like that, then don't even bother.

And Iliked that scene from the first game, Kura.

The platforming is the biggest turn-on, in my opinion. Prince of Persia is one of very few platform games left in the modern, 3D world. Mario has tried, sure, so has Sonic, but they just don't feel platformerish anymore. Prince of Persia succeeds where many past attempts have failed.

(Note: Only played Sands of Time) I definately agree, Terra. The platforming was by far my favorite part of the game. The combat was good (very good, I don't prefer that style of fighting, and I enjoyed it anyway), but the jumping, the swinging, the box-shoving... they were the heart and soul of that game.

Wasn't that spoiler the premise of one of the best swordfighting movies in history?

I have my pre-order for Oblivion and am egarly awaiting. I even broke down and got a new processor and some RAM to make sure my computer won't have any problems. I have yet to dislike one game in this series, and I doubt I'll start now.

Mostly because the series was probably my first foray into a real RPG. Arena kicked ass the second it came out, daggerfall was even better, (Morrowind wasn't as good as daggerfall, but it was still amazing.)

I'm awating my copy, and I don't care what some asshat playing it on the X360 says. Let's just hope they fix combat or hell, just use the old Arena one...

Yeah...they feel like... They have too many open fields that you can just run across without much of a challenge. The jumps don't feel like they require that much skill any more. A fact that I discovered firsthand, from playing old NES games recently, and it was so much harder than I remembered.

Theres just Too much of it with too little action or story between, for me at least. The points where there are action are just to easy.

That being because action is not the point of the game. The platforming is.

Complaining about the action not being strong enough in Prince of Persia is like complaining that there wasn't enough platform jumping in Halo. You're completely missing the point of the game.

I guess so, I will stick to 2d platforming. Becky and I started to play Halo 2 last night after beating Halo. Why did they have to bring back the flood and have you play as covenent? I wanted to see a full on war with the covenent now that we have covered the holy artifact thing.
