... Visually?  VISUALLY?

Visually, an African swallow is essentially the same as an American swallow, but there's a rather key difference, that being where the species make their home.  The key difference between ATB and TBS is NOT visual, but the speed of the battle!  In a TBS, you can sit, weight the outcomes of each move, and make an informed decision!  In ATB, you're kept on your toes, because you don't want to be caught with a giant attack while you were debating which party member to revive!

Also, your language suggests that you're not discussing this rationally.  Please stop that.

unless of course, you set it to wait, in which case any time you enter a menu such as the magic/tech ones, you DO have all the time in the world.

"Wait," as we discussed, really turns the ATB into a TBS, and was placed there for people who don't like ATB.

You know, I figured Oblivion was going to kick ass, but really, it's kicking a lot more ass then I gave it credit for... With all the new minigames they added, conversations are finally fun, and with some patience Lockpicking is no longer an excercise in frustration. The new fighting system is awsome, and while the physics system is good, it feels awkward at times. Ally AI could use some work, but the storyline is excellent, and the fact that people actually do stuff really adds a TON to the game.

... Now if only my Frames Per Second didn't come to a screeching halt every time I get within 100 miles of an Oblivion Gate, the game would be perfect...

Hehe Oblivion...
What happend to the last 5 days? >.>

Im thinking that maybe having luck as a good stat is a bad thing. My gear jumped ahead of my character, and the opponents kept up, making things hurt a lot. And battles where you get allies... don't let the enemies jump ahead in power, it hurts a lot.

The game is completely addictive, and will consume you. I've only been pulling myself away to do a bit of class work.

...No, one-dimensionality is NOT a precondition of pasta!  What about lasagna?  Well, sure, but something can be zero-dimensional and still be pasta! It's not geometry, its semolina content. Yes, I suppose you could make mobius pasta. No, I'd draw the line at orthogon-os...

More or less. I need a motherboard and processor approximately thrice as fast as what I've got... <_<

Vagrant story gets my vote for best rpg combat and levelling system of all time...

any old Enix rpg is runner up.

so hard...
but so good.
Mmm....
The only part of it that really annoyed me was err, what was it called...
where you got points building up a weapon by killing things or something...
the only thing that was really good for was trading those points for damage on the OMGWTF final boss of the first loop...

I almost bought that game once, but hesitated and then I heard that it wasn't worth it.

So... should I have ignored that opinion after all? :S

Well, played alot more Tetris... finally getting used to this "ghost piece" crap. Back in my day, you didn't have something telling you where your piece would land! And you couldn't switch out pieces, neither! You got a piece that didn't fit, and you were SCREWED! And we LIKED it!

Getting about 80 or so lines playing on Standard (Mario theme)... can do up to level 4 Towers on Touch (BALLOON FIGHT THEME!!!), and I solved the first 17 puzzles on Puzzle (Yoshi's Cookie theme). Still having trouble with Push mode (Donkey Kong theme), and Catch mode (Metroid theme) is a blast. Oh, and I'm fairly good at Mission mode (Zelda theme), too.

Definitely.
Every game Square made in 2000 was GOLDEN and Vagrant Story was the crown jewel.

I'm doing about the same on Touch, something like 30-40 levels of touch, completed the first 4 of push too. Barely touched catch mode(just long enough to figure out how to play it). I did good at mission mode. Actually, I'm still lvl 3 on regular mode vs >.>.

On wifi, I seem to be struggling to do more than maintain my original 5k score -_-'
That doesn't bode well.

Hmm... what are the minimum specs, anyway? Does this meet them? If not, I'm in the same situation as you, Big. :P

...I'm pretty sure that meets the recommended. My loathing for all humanity has just quintupled.

EDIT: Minimum is 2Ghz processor, 512 Megs of Ram, a dvd drive, 4 Gigs disk space, and a fairly good video card.
